Same

When I dry 100 percent I add like an apple or potato peel few hours before consumption
hey man, do you think youd try the cure again at room temp? I never thought about mould again after I changed the conditions, I think theres something to the temps causing the mould, funny how a convo makes you realise something you never even thought of before, but I think that's the key there.

on the cure that's the one thing I never fuck up, it always finishes up amazing I always do exactly the same steps every time, I might fuck something in my grow and I do sometimes cuz I'm experimental as fuck with my grows that's just me, or I may just accidentally spray my babies with roundup lol and I did once was a fucking heartbreaker and made me feel so fucking stupid but hey that's life and I'm the definition of ADD. But the cure once I get past myself on my grow lol the cure is the most amazing thing if you get it right and fir some reason it's the one thing I never deviate the process on and its weed that just tastes and smells better and better every time over time, I can hardly believe the changes as they happen when it goes from funky to sweet spicy fruity and funky lol.

one thing I've noticed is a lot of sources say 2 to 3 years shelf life after cure in my experience 6-9 months is peak smell and flavour at 3 months it almost takes on a cigar like essence when it burns which is really nice, at 18 to 20 months it begins to break down I cant ever imagine 3 years 2015 the year I lost a majority my crop to spider mites I was smoking 24 month old weed and whilst it wasnt bad and it tasted great but there was a definite change in colour and texture and smell from green to a more brown the calyxs turn a golden colour and get very soft and the smell goes from sweet to a acrid super sweet smell. People that I shared with still complimented the smell and said it was like nothing they ever smelled I definitely preferred the less advanced cure myself.

With those beveda packs do you get your shit 100 percent dry then stick them in ya containers
Ive researched a bit into the Bovedas.
The consensus seems to be (not the only way people use them).
Dry to the point of within 3RH% of the pack (62% one), stable RH for at least 12 hrs. Add Boveda pack.
Pop lid for a small an undisclosed amount of time (guessing 5 to 30 min depending on ambient RH) every few days for a couple weeks. This allows replenishing of O2 for the bacteria breaking down the chlorophyll. After that just long term store it. (dark, cool place). RH% of less than, I think 50% ish (??) stops the curing process.
In a perfect world add a 58% pack to that weeks smoking stash if u don't add spin to ur mix.

what kind of lights are you using? generally your equipment will provide enough heat especially if you run your lights at night.

HLG 550 LED, heat with lights on is fine, lights off on the other hand is dropping to 16-17 degrees. Will get worse with coming winter temps.

This is for photo plants so can't increase lights on time.

there are many variations and variables, like if your bud feels too wet after a day or 2 in the jar 5 minutes open will not do, a couple hours outside in a bowl will prevent mould and bring the bud back to the right level, which is the whole point to preserve the buds, worst thing that you can ever find is white furry looking buds in your jar that smell like ammonia, trust me on that one. I think a little common sense and intuition play a big role in a good cure a lot of folks tend to overcomplicate anything to do with growing when it should be a very very simple process. I pop em open daily to check the moisture and if it feels a little damp I'll keep em open checking every 5 to 20 minutes until they feel right then seal them up again, I hear people complain about boveda but the truth is storage was a lot harder and a cure at home was not even discussed hardly before boveda.
this was a game changer for everyone because it made a cure simple and achievable for everyone. there a good sticky on curing and storage.

Put a small oil heater in there but for now 16-17 degrees isn’t gonna hurt

I wait til dry to touch on the outside then into big paper bags that I peg shut and I hang the bags somewhere where it’s cool with some nice air flow and after two or three days into the jars and it’s worked beautifully every time.
