Hello guys ,iv got an easy question for you.
My tap water ppm is 100-120. Do i have to add call mag to raise this level to around 300ppm every time when watering with plain water ? And when its a feeding day ? Shall i have the 300ppm again and then add the bloom nutes till i reach 800-1200 if in flower ?

What does that 100-120 ppm consist of?

what do you mean exactly ?
you can get a water report from your water service provider to find out what is actually in the water

in all likelihood it is mostly calcium. 100 ppm isn't much tho for tap water.

the real question is what is your medium? is it amended with anything? what is in your nutes? specifically is there calcium already in there?

if your nutes/soil contain calcium, mg and iron, which they should, then you shouldn't need calmag. esp with tap water in soil which probably has lime in it.

Tap water is mainly carbonate where as calmag is mainly nitrate/sulphate.

No you never need to add calmag to water and suggest if your ferts contain it you dont need the extra.

If your a soil grower you already have more than enough in the soil ferts and water and thesedays if your fert dosent supply all macro and micros then change to one of the many that do.

Some will notice their ferts contain quite a bit of cal mag already and the extra additiin pushes calciumfar too high for realistic use.

Foodfor thought - a lot of us have ditched calmag, benies, blooms etc etc over the years :-)

Water reports should be online if you google your particular areas water company - find the detailed one listing lead arsnic nitrates carbonates etc etc etc and post it up on RiU if you can.... we love that stuff :-)

First of all thanks for the answers.

Im using Biobizz light mix soil .Iv read that biobizz soil often is short on cal mag . The ec is 1.2. Im also using biobizz bloom ,alg a mic and bio grow (most of the time autos dont even need bio grow). Also for cal mag supplement im using vitalink cal mag .

Currently im growing 2 photos in 1 gallon pot DAY ~35 in flower . Different strains. Yesterday when i watered them i checked the runoff and it said that the one was 700 ppm and the secont was 100 ppm while i was giving them both the same strenght nutes. What does that mean ? Do i have to give more bloom nutes to the one thats 100 ppm the run off ? first photo is Pineapple with 700 ppm runoff and second pic is Purple punch with 100 ppm runoff. There is some yellowing on the leaves of PP aswell while PIneapple look fully green and healthy..these photos are couple of days ago
