i would use a 8" systemair revolution vector ec fan (1332cfm), with a canfan/gse lcd ec fan controller (canfan version is cheaper than the gse for some reason) and for the filter i like mountainair but the deep bed version of the carboair look good.
1332 m3/hour the cfm is around 784cfm
Their 10” could work tho. I have heard great things about mountain air filters tho.
Thanks

Can I use 16ga wire on the PCB boards? sure looks like I can judging by the size of the connector but wanna know before I buy wire. Can't find any 18ga solid locally except thermostat wire than I have to strip the jacket off of for 100's of feet.
If you are running hundreds of feet you definitely don't want to under size your wire. How much amp/volts are you putting through it? why do you have to strip the jacket?

Are you putting the driver that far away?

16 is awesome .....i am using larger than that for long runs..they were my hps lines

Haven't turned it on yet. I wouldn't think I would, I recently read a post from someone running 75 watts/board and they ran cool enough to hold your hand on..
So, youre not using heatsink on these? I dunno about that...
75w per board would be towards the upper limit for a HLG board with lm301b. China boards arent made the same. Hav you actually tried yourself before? Ive heard people saying the heat was too much at 50w/board if no sinking was applied.

Idk the most recent thing I read was someone using them at 75 watts each, with a fan blowing on them they only got warm, without the fan they got hot but not too hot that you couldn’t hold your hand on them. I guess I will find out when I get a chance to wire some together..
Get an ir thermometer, they're cheap. Stick a piece of black electrical tape on back of board in the center, warm the boards up and take temperature readings without fan. Then with fan blowing across them.
50.8°C 77 watts on a bare Zeus board so around that temp should be sweet.

So about the 3x3 I was going to outfit with a new light.. figured the HLG550 or equivalent would be way overkill.

Some good tips from @Moflow on using the samsung strips.

However.. a hlg 550 v2 equivalent for ~320$ before negotation and shipping, seems almost too good to be true bongsmilie https://www.alibaba.com/product-detail/Kingbrite-hlg-550-v2-samsung-lm301b_62029135325.html?spm=a2700.galleryofferlist.normalList.14.7e114ee284BjHj

Getting real close on pulling the trigger so to speak though..
For that price I'd buy it and dim it down or get a smaller driver.
It's really a 4 x 4 flowering light.
The strips will give you more uniform coverage across the canopy and more light to the plants as they can be run much closer to the canopy.
Nice price tho :bigjoint:

Tell me how the kingbrite is if you pull the trigger. i got mine through meijiu because they have more rep on the internet. mine was $400 shipped but i had to wait for them to get the drivers in stock. when they got them in (9 days before when i was told they'd have them) it took like 36 hours to get to my house in colorado. loving the light btw I dont think you can really go wrong here with kingbrite or meijiu

I got a Fotop800 board from Meijiu keeping a 2x4 well lit up, fantastic results so far.

My last rep i used there (Kitty) apparently doesn't work there anymore. The other rep from Meijiu that reached out, was about 100$ more expensive than Kingbrite's first offer.. super fast responsetime as well (from KB).

Not going to spend too many calories contemplating, will keep you updated.

My 2 kingbrite 300w kits have been great for the last 2 months. They came with the AB type meanwell driver, which has a current limit pot built in. Full out they gave 360w each, im running about 330.

I just ordered another kit of the same, so i can dim all 3 and run around 800w in my 5x5.

I know this is the place for builds. I will not be building anything anytime soon. The thread asking about posting what you want to purchase has been locked. I have my cultivation licence but have really only grown outside. I start, sex and clone under cfls, and I have even gotten a bit of bud (when I pick my moms) under the cfls but not consistently and with no depth (top 10")
I want the 600w mix for a 5'x5'x7' room....so cost is 600can$ or 450us$ and free(ish) shipping to the maritimes Canada.

I joined just to ask that question which I actually didnt ask. Is this as good as what I am seeing here? sortov comparatively speaking. I see these components in some of the builds here. Been reading lots here but still wont be building anything for the moment. 600w of this one is 765$cad...but I think the boards.

These China lights seem to be more efficient and give off more light than an HPS while using half the energy. If they differ from HLG quantum boards I'll probably never know. I haven't seen one example of quantum board from China being bad. I'd go with the boards over the COBs
