Force flowering under 24 hour light.

I bought some liquid amino product from
An agricultural supplier to try out on my cannabis crop and something has happened which may be already a hidden secret or maybe a massive breakthrough in cannabis cultivation.

I planted 100 skunk Xl seeds from royal queen seeds. They are photoperiod plants. They were sprouted in rapid rooters and I did cause them quite a lot of stress as I always mess up overwatering those things in Dwc.

I foliar fed some aminos to try and perk them up and speed up recovery. I accidentally overdosed on the aminos and I now have tiny 4 inch tall plants starting to flower. They have never seen a minute of darkness since germination.

I’ve been trying to get them to reveg for 3 weeks as I need them larger so I can put them In my flower room but so far there is no sign of revegging.

If this can be manipulated to our advantage I can see this causing increased yields due to higher DLI from longer lights on times.

Anyone have any knowledge of this?

Sounds like they slipped you a bunch of autos as there is no way you can stress a photo bad enough to force it to flower under 24 hour light. I've stressed the hell out of almost every plant I've grown the last 20 years and don't even get hermies unless it was from a hermie seed.

Here’s a photo of one of the plants. Bare in mind I have 90 seedlings only 35 seem to have been forced into flower. Could be due to uneven spraying so some didn’t get overdose. Also different phenotypes maybe require different dose who knows.

But here’s the example 3 weeks since I sprayed it.

You can clearly see the old dried up cotleodons on the bottom of the plant. It’s barely 3 inches from the first leaf to the tip of the bud

I’m genuinely intrigued by this. I read one Facebook comment somewhere that said you can force flowering with an overdose of L-PROLINE amino acid but I’ve seen no scientific evidence to back that up.

If anyone can run a test I’d be interested to know if you can recreate this

There is no pgr in those products. They aren’t crappy hydro companies that add “secret” ingredients.

It’s just an amino acid product that is used in agriculture.

Not to to mention no pgr can force flowering during 24 hour anyway

I've has "cloning for gender" plants go into full bloom at that height. Sure your timer is working properly?

I don’t have a timer. They’re in my veg room set for 24 hour light

Also these were seeds. Clones may flower that high but seeds wouldn’t be sexually Mature at this hieght in my experience unless anyone else can say they have seen seeds mature at this height?

RUI has 12/12 from seed contests occasionally...wonder how early they show pistils?

And you mentioned an advantage to this. What would that be? When you want a plant to flower...you just change lights to 12/12...not so hard to do.

If you truly have a new brakthrough about growing cannabis...you should keep it to yourself, write a book about it and try to make some money...lol

The advantage would be photosynthesis increase.

Due to increased sunlight energy given to the plants over longer hours of lights on.

Or if you have only a 400w hps you could just leave light on longer than 12/12 instead of upgrading to 1000w and the heat output of the light would be spread out over the day you’d have less of a heat spike to deal with and gain the same yield increase compared to if you upgraded to a 1000w

Or are they just going to revert and reveg once the hormones wear off. You do a full test...demonstarate the advantage and people will listen...

I’m not interested in making money from it. Just sharing what I’ve experienced and I hope they do revert to veg as I need them to be bigger for my flower room.

I don’t really have the space to run a test and I won’t be risking using this on my main crop again as it’s set my back on my next harvest

I may take a clone or two and see if I can recreate it in a separate room

Never seen an auto flower that small.
I have. Kept some Purple Jems in little 3" pots and they were only 6" tall once done. Just grew them to make seeds with so didn't want larger plants.

I think that product looks pretty good and wouldn't mind some to try. No sign of growth regulators and I doubt it is what caused such early flowering. I still think they sent you autos but even then it's very strange for them to flower so soon under 24/7 light. Running autos 24/7 from the start usually keeps them in veg longer so they are bigger plants before they go into full bloom then can be switched to 18/6 or 20/4 and hang out with the photoperiod plants in veg.

I use Big Bud for flowering and it has 20 aminos in it along with 10% sulfur. Sure makes a big difference in my yields.

I see no benefit from this product even if it does cause flowering under 24/7 which I doubt.

I’ve explained the benefit of flowering under 24 hour light. There would be a clear advantage to it.

I don’t know what’s caused this issue posted here to see if anyone could help shed some light on it.

I’ve considered every other scenario I could think of. There has been no power failure. Lights not on a timer. 35 of 90 seedlings all like the photo I’ve shown.

Doesn’t make sense that they would be autos to me

See if you can get some and try overdosing it and you can help me rule it out as what caused this as id like to continue using it if I can
