How do you tie a plant down with smart pots?

It's very hard to poke holes in these fabric pots and I don't know how tie them down because the fabric pots aren't solid they bend and move with the tie down.

I want to turn all my plants in veg into 4 main top colas with bens method but I would need to tie them down after to make sure they grow right how would I do that in a smart pot?

I suppose you could peirce/attach your tie down starting at the outside base of the smart pot. It's more stout down there. I'm more of a stake em up kinda guy, and smartpots suck for stakes to. Good luck.

I use smartpots and I pin them right down to the ground with bent pieces of coathanger wire. Works great for me. Here is a pic of my current run, LST in smartpots

place the poles or bamboo poles directly into the soil. and I use zip ties or wire ties . hook the branch to the pole with a zip tie . every pot will have 4 to 10 bamboo poles .

I like the idea of hanging fishing weights off the branches, what do you think of that method Diggs?

ive used velcro and it literally sticks right to the sides of the smart pots. Im talking about this green velcro stuff. run a strand down the side of the smart pot the side that sticks to it, then loop it up around the branch and back to itself and waa-laa! its reusable when im done i just spin it up line it came in this spool https://www.amazon.com/VELCRO-Brand-Adjustable-Gardens-Gardening/dp/B005755YSQ

No I've never tried it just thought you might know the rub. You can hang fishing weights off the branches right just seemed like the easiest way for me.

Nah bro i havent seen that in my short time in the game. I can see it easily working well tho, branches dont require much strain to bend them where you want.

I found the binder clips and pipe cleaners were my favorite. Safety pins were fine, but pipe cleaners used to get caught in that little hole, that dont happen with the binder clips.

I thread plant wire through a heavy duty (for leather) sewing needle, punch it through and make loops around the edge of the pot that I can use to tie branches down.
