So why no peep from you about Nancy Pelosi or Chuck Schumer dragging their feet on this issue?

If it were a progressive in charge of levying impeachment proceedings, we wouldn't hear the end of it. But Pelosi and Schumer are insiders, I guess they get a free pass from establishment supporters.

All of you are complete shills. This sort of shit proves it.
Go flip 3 red states and get back to us.

You can't do it though, can you?

You're stuck out on an island somewhere, detached from political reality while the courts, the environment, the tax structure and everything else goes in the wrong direction. And then you bitch about it.

tangerinegreen555, why don't you hold Democratic leadership accountable for failing to levy impeachment proceedings against Trump?

You claim this is your top political priority

Because you think the Senate wouldn't convict him?

Maybe better to save it incase he has a second term. They can do hearings for the next year and hope Americans show up and vote him out so they don't have to do it, but if they don't, they still have the ability to do it later if he keeps up with his illegal activities.

You know, only about 10% of the electorate have the same interest in politics as we do here.

If the senate lets him slide (which they would), where the fuck does that leave us, exactly?

With Trump declaring he was vindicated?
You figure that helps?

If the House levies the charge, Republicans in the Senate will have to go on record supporting a criminal.

You're right, they won't convict him, but they'll show the American people who they really are, on record

As of now, going into 2020, Trump gets to claim a victory, "they would have impeached me if they had any evidence"

If getting rid of Trump is your primary issue, why do you support Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer who are the two Democrats in congress who have the power to actually do something about it and they don't?
Without the Senate the only power they have is exposure of the criminal in the oval office, hopefully that changes in 2020

And 33-40% won't care at all with another 10% sucked in by demogoguery?

Keep investigating and issuing subpoenas, it keeps his numbers depressed. He's double digit down right now. It's working well enough to fuck him out of there.

To me, it's not about who or how many people will support it. It's about principle. He broke the law. He's unfit to be commander n chief. That's the end of it.

I don't care if anyone else supports it, I don't care if anyone else opposes it. The president broke the law. That's it. You or me break the law, we suffer the consequences. Nobody is above the law.

Not according to William Barr and the current DOJ

William Barr and the current DOJ are wrong
A lot of people are wrong.

Wrong doesn't necessarily lose elections though, does it?

Either you care about Supreme Court precedents, the environment, the tax structure, immigration detainee abuse, constant lying, tax structure slanted more to the rich than ever before and hate speech that inspires right wing nut bags or not.

I can't convince you. I'm not here to try.

What I can do is tell you that another moderate won't beat Trump. If you want to try, it's at your own peril

He and the current Republican party are a monster, no doubt about it. But the way to defeat him is to energize the people already fed up with it who don't vote anyway. Biden supporters are trying to change the minds of Republicans who do vote, who just don't like Trump. Sanders supporters, progressives, are trying to get people who don't vote to vote. One is trying to convert conservatives, one is trying to convert non voters. 40% of people don't vote, that's ~80 million Americans

Watch what Trump does when Pelosi fails to levy impeachment charges
A demagogue will always be a demagogue.

And you don't know what's going to happen. Nixon had higher approval ratings than Trump even after the impeachment inquirey began. And that was in a world without Fox or the internet.

Trump may be sunk in 6 months. And beating him in 2020 is a bigger success than impeachment.

His own words cost him 15% before we even start, it's like a golf handicap.

Use it correctly and he'll lose by 10,000,000 +. He can't catch up unless somebody lets him. Free college won't carry the south or the midwest. I cringe every time they bring that up. Save it until AFTER the election. Right now, just win.
