Newbie First Soil Grow Need Advice

Hey y’all. Thanks so much for all the help so far, it’s all been exactly what I needed and has turned out great results!
Been trying to figure out where to post this, if there is a better place let me know!

I have started 2 seeds in my grow box in my garage. Popped em in paper towels. One burst in 3 days and was grown through the paper towel. This ones doing great. Growing SUPER fast (I think).
The other was in a group of 4 and took like a week to pop and it was the only one. I think one of the others in that group molded away(?). Anyways it’s having a really hard time getting past the first two leaves so I might ditch it.
I want to pot the good one up because I can see roots against the cup. Should I wait until I can see more? (I’ll post a picture of the roots in the morning, they’re sleeping now). Should I go straight into a 3 gallon? Also I want to use Fox Farms Ocean Forest since my buddies plants are doing great in it and it’s his first grow too. I want to keep it simple. Is that gonna be okay?
Pics are the first 5 (and only) days of growth of the GOOD one

There is no real set rule as to when one should transplant / up-pot, but I like to wait for the seedling or clone to fill the pot with roots before I transplant. And the reason why I like doing it that way is simple, and that's because I have found when the pot is filled with roots most of the contents in the pot stays nicely together when doing the transplant which greatly reduces the risk of stressing the seedling / clone out because the contents of the pot won't crumble apart. Because it it does crumble apart, many of the roots can get broken, even the taproot can get broken if you started them from seeds, which will surely make the transplant recover time that much greater! Anyhow, for me... all my seedlings that start off in solo type cups stay in those cups for 14 - 21 days from the time I place them into those type of cups!

I wait to transplant until I think the roots have filled the cup/pot then transplant, they usually have grown a few nodes. I would be worried about damaging the immature roots transplanting that early. The goal is to have a nice full root ball in the pots.

Thanks guys!! I went and check this morning again. She’s starting the first true 3 leafer today!
Here’s pics, I tried to get the roots but i just couldn’t get the right lighting
The little cup I have it in seems to dry out quickish, I water ever other day about, just whenever it looks/feels dry.
Any other advice for this stage in its life? I know it’s not gonna be for a while, but when should I add nutes? I’ll probably use Fox farms for that too

With all the info out there why are people using miracle grow anything?
Unfortunately it’s all that’s at my local shops and I’m really strapped budget wise. It worked really well so no complaints here
Edit: next time I do this from seed I’m using ffof straight from the get go

Any way you can get on amazon?
That’s where I got the FFOF and a lot of other stuff. Budgets my main restrictor. If I had more money to spend I would go to actual hydro/grow stores in Portland but I’m stuck buying $60 lights off amazon
I got the miracle grow cause I wasn’t planning on doing the seeds but I had it pop and needed a medium

Day 9, should I transplant up to a bigger container with FFOF? Gonna go get some mychorrizal fungi today, I found a garden store near me

Update: could not find mycorrhizae at any shops near me, closest thing was compost starter. I do have some seaweed extract that says it’s good for root development, could I just use that?

I like to use Extreme Gardening Mykos. It's on Amazon, but I get mine from the hydro store.

You are in a clear cup. Once the roots hit the bottom and ever so slightly begin to circle (you don't want circling just a good root mass) then transplant, that will insure everything stays intact and minimizes any root damage. Just fill in the soil around the cup (preferably an exact empty cup) in the new container, flip the plant give a tiny squeeze on the cup then put in hole and top fill a lil bit

Transplanted earlier today. Seems to be loving its new home!
Roots were pretty circle-y so that’s why I wanted to pot up!
Watered with normal h2o and some seaweed extract cause I couldn’t find the mycorrhizae
Gonna give them this watering every 3-4 weeks unless y’all think I shouldn’t?

I think you're fine using the seaweed for the hormones and other beneficials as its n-p-k is usually pretty low... ffof is pretty commonly used and some do great in it but it can run hot and burn your plant so keep an eye on that. Watering every 3-4 weeks? Is that with the extract or just your planned watering schedule?

Mykos will help yes but not really too much in what you are growing. All the salts in m.g. soil will kill a lot of it. Mind you not all of it but it wont do as good of a job as if you went organic

Say cup again...

That’s the extract schedule, I’ll give distilled water ever 3-4 days as needed (might adjust depending). I also plan on doin neem treatments once a week when it’s a little bigger.
