Hello Grower community,

I am taking over now because someone let these mother get out of hand XD
They are like 14 feet tall and untrained. The trunks are like 3-5.5 inches in diameter.
luckily not all of them are that big but a good number of them are. I want to save the mothers because they have good genetics.

Problem 1:
Some of the mothers are in early flower. (I was wondering how I could revert them back to veg?)
Problem 2:
The mothers need to be reduced to a workable height of about 50% of their current height.

Progress with Problem 2:
I tried cutting one mother to about 50% of its height. and it was fed way to much water for the uptake of its foliage so it ended up rotting at the cuts after about 2 days. Ive tried training them but some cultivars "strains" do not bend well at that size. their joints have weird nuckles that tent to want to peel right off. So I trained most of the other plants that were able to handle training.

Lesson #1:
careful not to over water after removing a lot of foliage. The plant will not be able to transpire all of that water. and may rott.

If anyone has any experience or great ideas on how to help with these problems, please let me know.

You can take clones off a plant, I believe, at any time...well photoperiod plants.
I did a single popcorn bud from a harvested plant. I was helping to empty the buckets after everything was harvested and noticed 1 plant had a few popcorn buds about the size of a quarter still on the main stock...said to myself I wonder...well after a few months I had a nice plant again and started taking clones off her since.
I did 2 popcorn buds from bottom branches of Skunk #1 about a month ago.
Started 6 more last week.
So basically if they root and you stick it under 15+ hours of light it will start to re-veg...I use 24 hrs for a few days on them and then go to 16:8 and after a few months...about 4 months minimum you should have new mothers you can clone from.

Skunk #1 ~ 30 days since cut.

Genetics is a science.. How does a plant have good genetics? Your plant runs a lab or what?

Sorry, e-growers gonna have to grow up some day though. Right now the government could point to Rollitup.org as evidence home growers are dangerous and that only qualified producers like Marlborough and Monsanto subsidies should be allowed to grow.

Let's start calling them genes because that actually make sense to educated people judging the Cannabis scene from the outside.

Marlboro is a brand, Philip Morris is the company.

Just change tbe lights to 18/24 it will go back into veg. You can cut it down in veg to whatever. When i have to start with reg seeds i do like 6 for a month change the lights find the females discard the males and reveg again for another month or 2. I hate doing that so i grafted all the females onto 1 plant so i have multiple strains on 1 plant.
