...is clearly the best choice in this primary.

He's a gay combat vet and he's just a bit to the left of Obama. This alone qualifies him to eviscerate Trump, just put them on a stage together. He has the humility to own his shortcomings and improve, as he showed on the debate stage when asked about police brutality under his watch as mayor.

His plans are concise and coherent, unlike the populist candidates promising the world with no plan on how to pay.
I mean, the reality is, all these beautiful proposals we all put forward, their impact is kind of multiplied by zero if you can't actually get it through Congress, and it's one of the reasons why I do favor the approach "medicare for all who want it"

Sanders plan on repealing Trump's tax cuts through a GOP controlled senate is by not having a GOP controlled senate

The only candidates who can excite the Democratic base and bring out voters are progressives. The only way Republican senators can be defeated in red states is for Democrats to come out and vote. Neither Biden or Buttigieg has the support behind them to excite the base. Biden has strong support from old people and older African Americans, and his support among African Americans is decreasing by the day, his only hope is a good result in South Carolina. Buttigieg has support from old people, that's it. He's spent a lot of money on ads in Iowa and New Hampshire, which is why he's doing well in those states. But he has zero support from minorities and young people. Sanders garners most of his support from minorities, women, and young people, with a staggering 52% of support coming from people under 45. His political philosophy has already shaped the direction of the party, and younger Democrats overwhelmingly support it. What Sanders supports is the future of the party whether centrist Democrats want to admit it or not.

So your answer is, Bernie will do it by being the most popular populist --er sorry, I mean politician-- in history. He will offer so much free shit that simply mentioning his name will senate seats and he will be named dicktator for life, which will totally be a long time cause he's so young and vital.

He won't sit on his hands after the election and cater to his billionaire donors who paid for his ticket to get there because he doesn't have any. He has actual principles backed up by 4 decades of dedication to the working class with a history to show it

There are at least five Republican Senators vulnerable to being defeated by the right candidate. One of the obstacles standing in the way is the Democratic establishment by failing to support actual progressives. Another problem is keeping weak seats like Alabama

His 3 houses and wifes debacle after 2016 lead me to believe he will do whatever the DNC wants. I'll take a look at Pete's platforms but he sure doesn't look that strong to me.

He also has 4 decades in congress with nothing to show for it. To me, that's just a waste of space.

I'm almost a blue no matter who guy at this point, just to get some sense back into environmental policy making. I think I'd pass if it's Sanders though. I just can't stand him.
