Insulated you would be dropping to 12c with light off. Insulated will be like the aircon being running in summer with out it, it would be like having a grow room in a fridge lights of your running a heater probably most of summer and forget leds.
I build basements/underground carparks for a living dude, well we call them rape dungeons. Got my waterproofing/caulkers ticket too been doing it 15 years.
I disagree unless your burying it stupid deep, 40ft isn’t a lot of space and it’ll heat up surprisingly quick. I know someone who burried one so the top was flush with the ground for a cool storage and it doesn’t get below 10 degrees even in winter. Used it to make beer and cheese. Stable at about 17-20 in summer while outside is 40+

It literally had 200mm of dirt on top except where the ladder was, I’d call that flush. In my area your looking at temps between 12-17 at 3m
Thats what they do here. Flip em upside down, wield some supports in and some plumping holes, 2 access hatches, bury em on top of a screen and dutch drain and poor a slab on top, erect shed. They have to wield in surports for the sides as they cave in. I'm not a huge fan of them for grow rooms.

Being on the coast lots of people use them for sheds or put a span across the tops of two for a large carport. Lots of work to fit em out properly. Proper shed just looks better and 1/2 the dramas for growing in.

thanks mate
im just trying to get all the pieces of the jigsaw puzzle, the last purchase a small quest,

what supplier did you get yours from n how much

theres no way im paying 3k for one of those black ones on ebay

other wise i cant do the 40footer container deal, 20 feet is ok but small
i might start off with one of these

so ya dont need to respond really if your busy, just wondering as i will need one eventually

think i might have watched to many youtube vids on containers im headfuked about them,

i should just move to canada, and buy 2 40 footers, and do some big grows just joking but i have thought about it

would they even let me in i doubt it ,, ,,,,,,,,,,,so back to growing down unda :weed:
Welcome. It’s a start and if you’ve started researching VPD then you’ll get the gist of it soon.

I reckon you’re getting ahead of yourself. You need to take a step back, and plan it out. Put it on paper first. Sizing humidifiers, dehumidifiers, exhaust, intakes, cooling, heating etc comes down to your space, number of plants, and how your growing, in what and how your feeding. Also your ambient conditions worst case - what you’re bringing in. Then you can start working out your units and how your going to control them....and a budget.

Scrap the container idea, you’d be better served with a larger tent/s, stealth shed or a room/s for now.

Disclaimer....just my2cents.

When I build my pad at my property I’ll be doing a massive basement. That I won’t tell anyone about. Won’t insulate it though :P I’ll have plants in there so she’ll be sweet

Thats the go, on the plans call it a panic room or bunker. That way when the juice and water is on the plans for it no ones going to think to much about it. Just leave a few survivalist magazines about.
Love to build and build in a dedicate room. 1/2 ya luck.
shouldnt need to insulate except for maybe the ceiling. Soil insulates really well. Depends on what the geothermal temps are in your area though i spouse.
