Have it shut off during the hottest part of the day, probably noon to 4pm.I have the light on a timer. It shuts off at around 11pm and turns back on around 3am. The space heater I have is exactly like you described. Its digital and has a thermostat built into it. I have it barely facing towards the closet so it doesn't just bake the plant in there.
In many areas, it's also much cheaper to run big lamps during the night hours, than it does running them during peak daytime hours.Run grow lights at night. The temperature dwindles because no sun. But if you use your grow at night you defeat nighttime coldness
That Kellogg’s is really heavy. Add a shit ton of perlite to it, or your seeds will never make it.Right on I'll keep away from it. I just want to keep the plant alive from start to finish even if I only get a gram off of it. Once I learn and am confident I will put more time and money into better equipment. I bought the kellogs organic soil. But i mixed it with some seedling potting mix from miracle gro that I had on hand. So we'll see what comes of it.
Here’s a pic of what’s i got going rn...I gotThat Kellogg’s is really heavy. Add a shit ton of perlite to it, or your seeds will never make it.
I absolutely love how you mentioned that your girl is in human form. I wasnt sure if anyone else on here was parenting a little and managing a responsible grow.I have a 2 year old. Baby girl in human form haha
Haha being a dad is awesome, none of my friends are dads yet its a lonely world for me. I'm satisfied with my family though, my human family and my plant family. Im glad to be here on this forum. Its hard to contain all the excitement growing brings me and its too risky to share the awesomeness with day to day people in my everyday life. Wow i got off track. SorryThank youu. I love being a dad. Something new everyday with her and it gives me a purpose to keep my shit together. The new "green" baby girl is just a bonus to this awesome life
Update. Day 19. Yesterday I got home from work and two sets of leaves had the tips curled down. Went into panic mode. Didn't post anything about it just read previous peoples concerns about it. It was not a nutrient problem, it was a low temp issue. I cranked the heat a few degrees higher and lowered the fan speed. This morning she is perky with no clawing I will post pics when I get home from work. Have a good dayy
It's pretty!Day 31 I believe. Had some issues with the leaf tips a week ago. I believe it was nitrogen deficiency because I hadn't fed her. Gave her some food and the problem hasn't progressed so she seems okay.
Thank you!It's pretty!
I like the leaf tucking ideaI know it's too early for my grow at the moment. I am not going to do any plant training at all but this looks real easy for a beginner, any input on if I should try it or not when I get to that point?
I like it too. But I feel like the plant in that video is short and bushy. Mine is tall and not that wide, I can't find leaves to tuck haha. I'm just riding this one out with minimal stress for my first time.I like the leaf tucking idea
