There is absolute garbage indoor and outdoor and there is fire from both categories as well.
Certainly agree with this point, from an effect point of view.
My .02...
As far as which is better quality from a "how does it work" perspective, I hold to the idea that beauty is in the eye of the beholder and let it go at that. If it works for you, then it's "quality weed".
If "high quality" also includes esthetics, (bud density etc.) rather than only the effect, I'd say it's easier to more reliably produce "good looking bud" indoors, because of the ability to control environment.
Further, some areas of the world have a steadier humidity than others and can produce near indoor looking quality better than other areas which have more challenging outdoor grow circumstances. (Frequent Shitty weather) Other factors are some people really seem to be able to get the most out of a plant outdoors and frankly, are better more experienced growers and their outdoor "passes" for indoor. Lucky bastards!
I've observed two clones grown from the same mom can and often do produce a different looking and possibly smelling bud when comparing sister clones respective indoor and outdoor buds. Environmental factors coming into play.
To the O.P., had decent luck with Green Crack and Pine Apple Chunk outdoors as far as effect and both had decent look, smell, etc. but they were tighter buds when grown indoors. Wish I could recommend fancier newer strains, and hoping others do, would love to hear of others successes. Good luck with your search.
