Aussie Growers Thread

i have heard of people putting a thick piece of cardboard between the heat mat/medium to help lower the heat,i live in sydney on my first time grow getting the temp/humidity correct seems impossible as i'm using a grow tents in my sheds but just cant seem to get past that first stage, i have like 200 seeds just trying to figure out the best methods as im noob.

...if i can grow my own i will be cheering.
There's no 'if' about, mate. You'll definitely be growing your own in no time.
It take some a little longer than others to get things down but cannabis is an amazing plant that will
grow itself (often too much!) given the right conditions.

There are heaps of greenthumbs in this thread.
Keep it simple, take it one step at a time and be very specific with your questions and you'll likely get some great responses from these boyz.

i think i did im only using a small clip fan i picked up at office works, tho im not sure if i should be using the larger one for better ventilation, so once i have germinated the seeds in water i continue with the paper towl method, prior to placing into the medium/rockwool. i also have small seed plugs you put them in luke warm water and they enlarge not too sure of the name tho is it better than going straight to soil?

Great points.
The pros and cons of each situation.

I'd be lying if I said I haven't lived with a certain amount of constant anxiety since I've been growing... so for two decades now... ahahaha... might be one factor in why I'm a wee bit loopy. :D
I only go loopy in March ;)
And mines about 15metres from where I'm sitting but I have cameras mastiffs and an undeclared protection :o

Okay, well, I don't consider myself a greenthumb but I've got 2 decades experience of popping seeds and have zero issues doing so.

So, you're getting tails in the germ stage in paper towels yeah?
But they stall out once planted?

I germ at 28c.
I plant in moist medium that I try to keep at 28c also.
Once they're above ground I try to lower temps to 25-26c and I mist them with plain water every few hours.

Try to keep humidity as high as you can. Wet sponges/towels hanging is cheap way but not all that effective compared to a proper humidifier. I'm building one now based the one @OzyM8 posted. I had used pond misters before but never built a fan forced system which I suspect is going to make all the diff in the world in terms of efficiency. He will probably post that again for ya when he reads this cause he's a swell bloke.

All this takes place under just T5 fluros and they don't get moved to proper veg light for a couple weeks.

Like my fully natural and homemade aloe Vera gel with coconut water? I have been getting good results with this using morning and night... had one more quick one for ya mate. When watering sometimes the water can expose the very shallow roots... i have been adding coco recovering them.when happens.. would they survive if I wasn't to do this?
I had roots showing in my.indoor last year I figured they didn't give a Fuck cos the bud was good lol

shit, no one fuck with beernutz. :D

I've got heavy steel gates, cameras and a German rotty who enjoys the sound of her own voice thankfully and keeps fuckers at a distance. Even the poor delivery guys. lol.

But I've got no other... 'protection'.
Though I am a world class slap fighter.

of course sorry if my questions are confusing being a first time grower half the times you don't know where to begin, i'm far from mastering it i don't expect it to happen over night nor any time soon, having the right information is half the battle already won. this is the medium i am using i have just been trying to figure out the best way to use a grow tent to germinate seeds. i have 2 tents one being 1m tall other about 2m tall which comes with a carbon filter etc i am planning to use that one for the flowering stage, tho you have definitely answered a lot of my questions in terms of humidity, rock wool. you definitely seem like you know what your talking about.i dont mind spending more money to get to where i need to be i go thru half an ounce per week which comes out to $160 in my area i rather invest the money setting up a decent grow set up.

if I’m not the only one that’s come up with that information there’s only really one conclusion that can be drawn. We’re all wrong and Venus is right.
I already know the answer hence I couldn't give a Fuck as I know at wat point not to use neem spray
An msds holds all answers I use it for everything

@Thundercunt,

If you go back in this thread, I described how to make them and where to get all the bits. Link to site where you buys some of the bits, they have videos too. You want the 220-240V ones, and recommend the better fans and coated stuff.

i will definately have to switch up my lighting you are right it is not sufficient i had about 6 germinated seeds placed under my red/blue led after a week absolutely not a sprout, i am using a heating mat tho im not sure if its enough or overkill.
Even I winter no heat mat needed
Put them on a plate chuck em up on top of the back of your fridge
