Are you suggesting ditching the whole organic/ground thing & just put large bags full of coco in the same spot?

I've got 114L fabric pots, but the plants would absolutely chew through the water/nutes if I wanted to grow them big (which is the plan).
6 100 litre holes healthy base soil and 25% coco mixed in
Few handfuls of goodies ur set to go
Maybe megacrop feeds in veg...berthas !

@Thundercunt,

If you go back in this thread, I described how to make them and where to get all the bits. Link to site where you buys some of the bits, they have videos too. You want the 220-240V ones, and recommend the better fans and coated stuff.

Here’s pics:

Awesome post brother.
This is the baller way of doing it. :D
I really appreciate you posting that, I'd never see such a design.
Very cool and much better than just the old oscillating blowing over top of bucket.

Though I cheaped out on sources a little as usual.
Bought my mister from
I only need the 3 head I figure in my 1.5m tent with LED and no outside exhaust.
Bought it on AfterPay even.

Then I got this IP67 fan:
and just using an adjustable 12v power supply.

Picked up 32mm tank outlet and 32mm vac cleaner hose, and 316ss screws/nuts/washers on Ebay.
Cable gland at Jaycar.

Haven't constructed it, yet.

cheers for the advice i was just watching a random clip showing me the exact method lately what i have been doing is i would germinate them in destilled water for 24hrs than put straight into medium/rockwool, i have not had any success there, tho im definitely gonna be using the paper towel method from now as you mentioned.

Ay ladies and gents,
Looking for some help regarding LED bars and quantum chip boards I don't want to spend an arm and a leg but want some premium full spectrum lights can anyone help point me in the right direction..
What do you all recommend for a 1.5m x 1.5m x 2.3m tent that won't break the bank and will get me some good results links or brand names would be grouse. I'm looking to start getting back up and running in the next month or so cheers in advance and happy growing

Okay, well, I don't consider myself a greenthumb but I've got 2 decades experience of popping seeds and have zero issues doing so.

So, you're getting tails in the germ stage in paper towels yeah?
But they stall out once planted?

I germ at 28c.
I plant in moist medium that I try to keep at 28c also.
Once they're above ground I try to lower temps to 25-26c and I mist them with plain water every few hours.

Try to keep humidity as high as you can. Wet sponges/towels hanging is cheap way but not all that effective compared to a proper humidifier. I'm building one now based the one @OzyM8 posted. I had used pond misters before but never built a fan forced system which I suspect is going to make all the diff in the world in terms of efficiency. He will probably post that again for ya when he reads this cause he's a swell bloke.

All this takes place under just T5 fluros and they don't get moved to proper veg light for a couple weeks.
I put my seeds straight in coco or peat pellets.
The whole paper towel thing is fucking stupid

Sweet! That’ll get you going. Office works sell the IP rated tubs like the ones I use.
The 3 head should be fine for a 1.5 tent. Remember to use RO water and dose with H202. I just use oxy plus and dose per instructions on the bottle, cuz I’ve got heaps of it gifted from a mate.
You’ll need to construct some type of float for the mist head. Probs out of styrofoam.
I just went to HoH for my stuff, easy and sort of turnkey.

Yeah, I would have gotten it all at that joint if I wasn't a cheap prick. :D

It does come with that standard black plastic&foam floating ring.

Not going to run the RO cause I'm cheap, stubborn and don't have a unit. I will run the H202 though.
Trade off is needing to replace discs more often. I'm not convinced misted minerals on plants is too much of an issue.
Never saw any issues when I ran previous mister.
My water reads 0ppm and Ph7.0 so its good starting stock. Not RO, of course, but as good as tap gets.

Thanks for the tip on OW cause I looked at the tubs at Bunnings and found nothing I was completely happy with.

Basically I'm doing the white trash/hood version of your build. :D

I have changed over the lighting from Red/Blue leds to this which is standing about 40cm from the medium is it over kill or should I purchase an actual t5 for the first few weeks?
If it were me, yes, I'd invest in a 2ft T5 HO that will be always be good for propagation and early veg.
Not expensive and never hurt to have one of those in the arsenal.

I have the 2ft 4 bulb and 4ft 4 bulb versions of these fixtures in my propagation tent and quite happy with them.
The 2 bulb is $80 shipped.

One of these other guys like @reza92 can advise ya on LEDs for your main light, that ain't my wheelhouse.

Hahaha, I did same, scoped Bunnings for tubs and didn’t find what I liked, not IP and lids had no flat spots for mounting the fan. Once the Mrs knew what I was scratching my head over she suggested OW as she’d seen them there....Mrs Ozy to the rescue again!
