Maybe check out the XLG 200 H line? Less than 2% drop in efficiency and well priced.would MEAN WELL ELG-200-C2100B be overkill?

Just an FYI on the ELG series, they only operate at 100% output on 200+ V input.MEAN WELL ELG-200-C2100B
Oh, shit, thanksJust an FYI on the ELG series, they only operate at 100% output on 200+ V input.

Not so much cheap, just good bang for buck. I just now ordered ELG-240-C2100B. It does 180.6w @ 120v. Thanks guys!If you're trying to get a cheaper alternative, look at the LRS model meanwells. They need to be mounted outside the area since they're in an open metal case, but they're great for the price if dimming isn't needed. They can't dim.
They come in 50/75/100/150/200/350watt
and are Constant Voltage drivers. Not CC like the HLG model has versions of. But parallel wiring is usually safer and not too difficult to work with. The LRS line has the same options. 3-5/5/12/24/36/42/48/54
Probably missing a bunch of voltages but that's a few for sure they come in
Dude cancel that order... Get an LRS. They're more efficient than the eLgNot so much cheap, just good bang for buck. I just now ordered ELG-240-C2100B. It does 180.6w @ 120v. Thanks guys!
I want ip rating and dimmableDude cancel that order... Get an LRS. They're more efficient than the eLg
Then just spend the extra 10 for HLG...I want ip rating and dimmable
which hlg driver has 2100mv and ~200w?Then just spend the extra 10 for HLG...
Oooh I see you're problem. Might as well just get the 240 and dim it a bit if 200w is. Absolutely crucial. 40 more watts shouldn't be a huge deal. Running the hlg240-2100 at Max would be your most efficient option.which hlg driver has 2100mv and ~200w?
On 120V which one is ultimately the more efficient of the two? You'd have to go up to the HLG-240H-C2100, and dim it back to get to 200W.
Nothing wrong with using an ELG.
We're talking about basically negligible gains in efficiency by running at less than maximum.

Not used the QB96s but if your height restricted I would go for 3 boards since you would be able to get closer , plus better light uniformity, but that's just my opinion.I am trying to decide between the 320W (3 288QB boards on a long heatbsink) or 360W ( 2 96QB boards) for a 2x4 area. Can anyone give me a reason to go with one over the other.
From all I have read they seem to be equally capable, but I am wondering if one has more penetration, cooler temps, etc...
Thanks in advance!
