Aussie Growers Thread

Bought a greenhouse a little while back to protect some of my outdoor plants from the elements.
A 20 minute freak storm ripped through when I was at work and ripped the greenhouse cover off snapping branches on 2 of my biggest plants! Between the 2 of them they were just under 2m tall and 3m wide. Their now about a metre tall! And not happy :cry:F4EA3982-97BC-422B-902D-C7ADB09C63C4.jpeg

That soil any good bursto? Have had trouble in the past finding a decent soil base....

was that last night? the storm

in the Yerba Buena video, they talk about making living soil, mainly made of coco, peat moss, kelp and rock dust, wormcastings etc..

im just using it as its very fluffy, like they said in the doco, it was 5 bucks something each,

3 days ago. Have been working 12.5 hour shifts so wasn’t at home when it came through. Some of the branches that have half snapped look like they may mend but has stressed one of them out big time. She’s already throwing some amber hairs. Keeping an eye out for pollen sacks/nanners.
Storm came out of no where. Sky was lit up with lightning and the wind was crazy!

I found the seed raising soil to be ok as it was fluffy like you said and no big chunks of bark etc. plus minimal food additives.
I’ll have to have a look at that video bursto!

I find it hard sourcing worm castings here.
Was looking into my own worm farm but in the end was just easier growing in coco lol.

i dont blame that baboon for trying to escape, fucked if i'd want a vasectomy either

he almost made it, the poor cunt

Thanks jimy!
Yea that’s pretty much what I’ve done.
Spose that’s the risk when growing outdoors,
Win some and loose some aye....
Gave the girls a good spray with dipel this morning. Found a few more cats (not the meowing kind haha) and pretty sure it washes away after rain..... have you used dipel yet jimy??

the pillars have to physically eat the dipel for it to work. Spraying regularly (every 1-2 days) and getting full coverage is a must. Bonus is it’s non systemic and non toxic so can be sprayed right up till harvest if needed

I thought that must be the case Reza as I sprayed one to see if it was a direct contact spray and barely affected the bastard lol.

Thats it man gotta take the good with the bad..
Nah havent got any dipel yet plan on hittin bunnings tomorro though..
Will be going on a worm tour tonight though was gunna do it last night but the beers an green got the better of me.
Only had problems with cats an moths in the veg green house no doubt its only a matter of time before they reach the girls though..

dipel is a form of bacillus so it’s a bacteria, same as gnatrol. Just 2 different sub species of bacillus that target different things.
Was doing some readin on B T the other night wasn a bad readaan found out its a bacteria always thought it was a chemical pesticide/poision type thing.

@reza92 i need some advice please. I’ve run out of flowering nutes and they need a drink NOW what should I do? I’ve got a different brand of flower nutes here that’s self ph’ing and no a and b. Should I just use that will it have any negative affect this late on? Probably a week to go max I’d say.

BT as a whole is pretty interesting and natural. Gnatrol is BTi while dipel is BTk I believe. They both work the same way but target different species of pest. Essentially they eat it and starve to death because the bacillus suppress their appetite.

just give them a feed. How close are the ratios to what you were using. If they’re too far off just make sure you give them a big first drink and get decent runoff. Just remember plants can’t see brands only what the base elements they are given and most brands use the same shit in slightly different ratios to get products that are similar but different enough to be “original formulas”

Try an ag supplier for dipel, will be heaps cheaper than Bunnings
