Plants growing at good rate????

Hello, this is my first ever attempt at growing. I'm wondering how my plants look at this stage. The biggest plant is an Auto Lemon Haze from MSNL seed bank. It was popped out of the soil on 3/4. The last photo is today 3/31. So the plant about 27 days old.

The size doesnt look small for an autoflower plant this age? I get nervous it may be a runt!! Lol

She should double in size when she starts to flower, it's very bushy for an auto, so I wouldn't worry about height too much

I have not been doing any LST. I figured on my first grow ever I should let it grow naturally without me doing anything that could potentially mess it up?

I also haven't used nutrients other than the Foxfarm Happy frog soil it started in. Is that not a wise idea?

I’m on week 8 of my first grow as well, and I did LST on all my plants from weeks 3-5. It was very easy (but anxiety provoking) but you just have to be careful, go slow, and stop doing it once they start to flower and the branches stiffen up.. It will increase your bud sites and likely lead to a higher yield if you do it right. I’ve attached some pics of my LST’d plants for reference. All are about 1ft tall, but as you can see are all bushed out with lots of good sized buds. I did this without ever topping any of my plants. Just a thought, maybe try it on one or two of your plants so that you can see the results you’ll get from it. You’ll be shocked at how quickly they grow and send up new bud sites once you bend that plant over.

Regarding your soil- Is happy frog a hot soil? Or is it low in nutes? I have my plants in bio bizz light mix (which is basically inert) so I add all the nutes to the plants. It gives greater control over what the plants get. It’s important though not to over feed your autos as I gather that they are more nutrient sensitive than photo plants.

These ones are fastbuds BlackBerry. Ironically enough, the other blackberry plant I have is legit BLACK (pic attached as well)

Thanks man! I did a ton of research prior to my first grow, and it seems like I also got lucky with some of my results as well! Never thought theyd be this colorful, but then again, I’m consistently hitting 61* night time temps.

I've currently just been tucking the large fan leaves and the new bud sites have been popping out of different spots in every direction. I started them all out at different times. So this would be a good opportunity to try LST.

On my first grow, the soil has seemed to really help my plants grow great in my opinion. I haven't had a single yellow leaf or deficiency I can notice. I haven't used any nutrients yet. Most people have given me their opinion stating I'll probably be good until around 5 or 6 weeks. Then I'll use about 1/8 or 1/4 suggested nutrients. The largest plant is about 26 days old and is about 14 inches as of now. Its growing about an inch a day if not more.

Thank you, right now I’m running 4 strains, all autos. The strains are:
1) Fast Buds Purple Lemonade Auto
2) Fast Buds Blackberry Auto
3) Sweet Seeds Black Jack Auto
4) Seedsman Candy Cream Auto


Ultimately Im no expert but I would say if happy frog is a relatively hot soil that you don’t or shouldn’t have to feed any nutrients for the first several weeks, but admittedly I don’t know how how that blend is. See if you can find out how hot it is, and that will give you an idea on if you should be adding nutes. I would say, if they continue to grow and don’t show signs of deficiency that you are okay. You could always try a super light dose of grow nutes just to see the response, but don’t overdo it. Better to under feed than over feed. That being said, when you transition to flowering you will want to be ready with your flowering nutes because they’re going to need it, but again, start with relatively modest doses and work your way up. Also, be ready to feed some cal mag around week 4/5 as the plants may begin to show some deficiency then due to all the work they’ll be doing to put out buds.

Im using all Bio Bizz nutes (organic bottled nutes) in bio bizz light mix (which is a starter mix for seedlings) and I started feeding root juice right in the beginning and at the beginning/middle of week two (I began using. an 1/8th concentration of the recommended dose of grow nutes and slowly upped the nutes as I progressed- I never got up to a full recommended serving of nutes but wish I challenged my plants to grow more in veg- oh well I learned for next time). I didn’t feed any flowering nutes until they were really showing lots of pistils, and admittedly I should have waited a little longer.

Durjng veg, I kept the day and night temps relatively consistent with the night temps only being a couple degrees cooler (80day & 77/78 night). Doing that led to shorter bushier plants with tight internodal spacing and large buds.

Once I got into flower I gradually lowered to 75 day time temps with night time temps in the 61-62* range. That prompted the purpling and fall colors you’re seeing on those plants.

And don’t worry too much about the height of the plants. My plants are all only about 14” tall or so, but as you can see they’re pretty stacked with buds. Hoping for 3/4-1o per plant.
