Venting, Like seriously...fuck me...the $ per elbows hardly fluctuated since the 90’s, if not gone down in some regions, yet running costs are up 15-20% if not more.

Yeah i think theyre getting their maybe a lil longer and theyll be better than hps hands down. Have you got solar? Its great for growing i got about 3.5kw of light running and all fans and what not and bills usually ~500$

Yes m8, got solar now in the new house. Didn’t have it in the old house / barn.
$750a qtr for elecy n water for the room ex everything else.

Was over 2k before with what was running.

Put 5 black triangles in the big tent. The ph has sat pretty steady in res of the flood and drain the last few days so the nasty shit is hopefully no more. I gave it a good flush yesterday. I still keep on top of the h2o2.
I’ll do fnd in the big tent for sure. It’s a lot less involved then hand watering I just don’t have the time it will also eliminate a lot of veg I like 2 week veg, that’s an extra grow a year. I’m keen to do a run from seed. Which will be Royal gorilla next run in the small tent. Probably do tray of black triangle, green crack and dosidos f1. I’ll keep a gsc x cherry mum so tasty I can part with it yet and a gdp x gg mum haven’t flowered her yet so had to take a few clones.The IB and purple haze will be discontinued but I still have a couple of beans of each so not stressed.

Wasn't the best run, I flipped em young and had to cut 2 males out of the scrog at like day 21 from memory. Was a while ago tho. I know a fella that pulled 20 oz with a hlg 320 kit tho which is half a 550 so the ceiling is definitely there. Best gpw I've done personally was about 14 oz from 240 watts

True that sucks. Its all subjective tho was old mate with the hlg320 growing a huge yielding plant? We dunno. id like to hear if anyone switched and yields went up like the led mob claims. Just coz sayin people got this got that doesnt really count when you dont know what they were growing Nd what theyd get feom a hps with the same strain

I don’t think yield is much different once your dialed in. I do think the buds are stickiest with hid though. This I just from my experience

The fella had a white widow cut mate nothing special in a 2x4 box. A fully dialled in setup will exceed 2 gpw with the right strain and training etc. My best like I said was just over 1.6 gpw, but I've never grown with hps so I can't compare. But in saying that I know a fella that hits 2gpw with 750 gravitas. Most of it is down to grower talent, environment and nutrition really when it comes to yield imo.

I agree with most pf that except id say genetics have a bigger role in yield than most of what you said

My 2c on the hps v led is that you need at least 80% of the wattage when switching so 800W of LED to replace a 1000w HPS but the beauty is that you can spread them out and get just as good growth in the corner of the tray/ room as inn the centre. For me HPS grows bigger buds and if I had cheap electricity I would still run HPS for flower but for my little room I like the LEDs as it makes it easier to keep the environment in check.

Yield I find about the same but with a reduced power bill for the LEDs.

I am talking single ended magnetic 1000w HPS for the comparison its all we ever ran.
