Is this bud rot starting.

Rite s hit how am I getting buds rot a 45 percent humidity. Grrr. Should I just harvest earlie? Crank the fan? Chop the leaves off and just leave the bud.. Any suggestions it seemed to be localised. All though the bud does seem to be retaining a lot of water.

Bud rot of some sort, could be caused by grey mold (you would see it in there) or by root rot causing tissue to die off.

Also noted a lot of pet hair in the first pic, you will want to prevent that in the future as burning hair really tastes terrible.

.

Cut out all the rot or it will spread to your whole cola.

Try a dehumidifier, I take a gallon of water out of the air of my grow room everyday.

Yea I'm running a dehumidifier .. it's the only plant that's doing it .. I have a bunch of phenos of same seeds.. I think that pheno is prone to mold. It was localised I did cut it out. How ever I'm wondering if it's roots causing die off. Because there was no mold it self. I mean I'm in week 8 I mean how much more weight are they go a put on.. Should I cull that one plant.

Thats what I am saying. I have seen it before when plants were over watered in late flower, looks just like what you showed. Some dead brown bits in the flower but no mold is present. I would inspect the roots.

As your plants flower they go through a period where they drink a LOT more often (during mid flower) then they slow down drastically as they are ripening. If you continue to water as often as you did in mid flower then root rot is the result and the flower die off happens because the roots can't supply enough water. For example, when I flower my trees in 10 gallon buckets, they will be drinking say every 16 hours at peak, then they drop off suddenly, around day 50 of 12/12 and then I only have to water them about once every 36 hours. The drop off is sudden, overnight.

My good buddy @diggs99 had a run going in coco and he didn't slow down on the watering frequency as they ripened and he had the same problem with root rot and bud tissue dying off. So it's something that can happen, even in coco. It doesn't need to dry out as much as soil but it does need to dry some, especially in later flower when drink slows and the roots have packed the air spaces in the coco tightly with roots.

I'm almost positive it overwatering now that u said that my room is a 45 or 50 percent humidity.. and I'm at day 57 after 12 12 flip.. But if that's the case this plant didn't drink very much 2 liters once a week at peak.. I figured it would have drank more then that. I'm stl trying to get the hang of watering

And my pots are directly on the ground so no airflow on bottom I'm still trying to devise a cheap way to fix that for a 4x8

Well it depends on many factors but I have found that a soil moisture meter is very handy (don't trust the ones with a pH reading).

When it hits mid green with coco you can water. When it hits low green with soil you can water.

I use these on my 10 gallon plants and it works great. I bought a 4 pack of them so I can have one in each room and gave one to my girl to use.

No standing water.. how far down do u stick the probe?
A good 6 to 8 inches works. Deeper gets a deeper reading. I use the same hole to test my plants, it doesn't bother them at all. I am also sticking pH pens in there too, different holes for different size probes.

Yep, Renfro is correct, lucky for me, i had his expertise to guide me through the issue, saved me from a ruined crop.

The next run i dialed the watering back late in flower and had zero issues.

If theres one person on any forum ill listen to, its Renfro.
