That’s the goal!Probably not a full 3 months. 3 months is a very long time they will be HUGE. One plant vegged for 3 months would easily fill a 4x4 by itself.

I plan on feeding my plants compost teas and only using pure water from the store. I want to have my soil packed with microorganisms.I stated out with FFOF got decent results, started checking out organic no till threads from some really good people and learned true LITFA. Made up a batch of organic living soil and let nature do the rest. I've never regretted it and get the best results ever. Check it out. Hope it helps

The jugs you can refill with their filtered water.Water from the store?
I was not aware you could get such a thing. I have considered getting a water filtering jug. I am leaving my tap water stand open for a few days to help it de-chlorinate.The jugs you can refill with their filtered water.
The only problem is, some places use other chemicals that are harsher that cannot be evaporated. Even with a bubbling stone like I had. It kills all microbial life in your soil mix which is no good with organic growsI was not aware you could get such a thing. I have considered getting a water filtering jug. I'm going to be adding molasses and earthworm castings. A list of things on their way is FFOF, Compost, Flower Girl 3-9-4(already have the 4,4,4 all purpose) , clover seed and earthworm castings. As far as my grow setup, I already have fans. I'm half tempted to run a ducting from my kitchen AC vent to cool the tent/light. But I have a 4x4 grow tent and VIVOSUN 600w HPS and a humidifier on their way along with some 15 gallon pots for the big grows. Possible upgrades I'm thinking about is a Heavy Duty 30gal Tote for a water res and a irrigation system in my tent for less checking on the plant/plants themselvesDr earth is good but you have to use the tomato and herb mix for calcium( it is the only dr. Earth with calcium in it). Or you can use worm castings, bs molasses and Epsom salt for calcium and magnesium. What I do and plant are doing great
Check this guy out
In my posts I have a grow journal where I used FFOF and Dr. Earth and had great results through veg. I later added a mixture of organic liquids and granular nutrients. This is a plant I have going currently I used FFOF and DR. Earth Green bag per Dr. Earth's container guidelines... Seedling was started in seedling starter mix then transplanted to its 5 gallon home on its 10th day from sprouting. Its 48 days old.Hey guys! I’m going to start my 4th grow here very soon and I don’t want to grow in miracle gro (although I heard the organic line is decent).
I want to know if using fox farm as my base soil and using Dr Earth dry amendments is a good go? I already have the nutrients I need, the all purpose 4-4-4 and the Flower girl 2-8-4. My question is will these 2 things combined give me good results?
My grow setup will be a 4x4 grow tent with a 600w HPS. I will have a humidifier and plenty of fans (intake and exhaust). Let me know what you guys think and maybe give some better options for a growing medium/nutes. I’d like to use the Dr Earth since I have already purchased it
Great nutrients too! Can't wait to try their granular nutrients!Roots organic is another really good soil.
Looks great! I have a grow going right now with a 150w hps, nothing impressive because right after the flip to 12/12 i had a HUGE nute problem and most of my leaves browned and got crumbly. Since then the problem has gone away because I flushed. I'm on day 45 of 12 12 now but I am just waiting for my kit to get here. Already have clones from a cookies plant as well. Thanks. Next step is to buy a few blumats and use nothing but granular nutrients and water. Keep growing!Looks great! When you say granular nutes do you mean dry amendments? Thanks. Next step is to buy a few blumats and use nothing but granular nutrients and water. Keep growing!
Yes. Mixing nutrients isn't my favorite thing to do plus they tend to be expensive. I've used Roots, Buddha grow, Buddha Bloom, Trinity and HPK with good results. Honestly haven't looked into the dry stuff they produce but after using things like Bone meal, Dr. Earth Green Bag and Earth Juice all dry nutrients I like the idea of just having to add perhaps a little cal-mag and water to my plants most of the time. When you say granular nutes do you mean dry amendments?
I imagine so... but the amount of nutes in FFOF I can't imagine it being able to feed your plant when its mature.. Maybe I'm wrong? A 4 pound bag of Dr. Earth is like $15. So you can get a full set of veg and bloom nutes for around $30 usd. Maybe I'll do a only FFOF in like a 3 gallon pot grow log to see if I run into any issues.Could you possibly do ffof and simply top dress with more FFOF when it needs fed?
You could but in flower the plants are gonna require more of some and less of other nutrients. Example being Nitrogen.Could you possibly do ffof and simply top dress with more FFOF when it needs fed?
I kind of did that outdoors my first grow. Plants were pretty much starved. Super fluffy buds that didn't fully develope. I'd look into dry bone meal, as well as dry kelp and perhaps some water in Bigfoot mycorrhizae for better soil health. Sorry if you said you were planning on going that route earlier in your thread. For example.... this is my current grow and she had nute spikes in the soil for the first like 20-30 days of 12/12 and it burned her up!! She is fixed now somewhat. Bud size has suffered significantly. She’s growing under a 150w hps.You could but in flower the plants are gonna require more of some and less of other nutrients. Example being Nitrogen.
