sadly no area i am used to, but sounds fine.
26W a suqare feet, you may need to dim down a bit when using a third light.

transition to flower is a bit tricky.
ramp up slowly is my best advise so far.
you of course wnat to give them as much as they can take, just dont cause too much stress.

Royal Queen Seeds Royal Gorrilla clone, outdoors, Sunlight, cool temperatures
Stems nice green colour.

Royal Queen Seeds Royal Gorrilla clones, grown indoors, under white led. Warmer temperatures in this flowering area than outdoors.
Buds are hanging to dry as we speak.
Look at these Red stems.
20200709_165115.jpg

Doesn't seem detrimental for the buds though.

Anyone any thoughts as to what's going on?

hm, yep youre right.
looks like it outgrow the red stem area later in flower?
therefore the green stripes?

my og kush where also pretty red and grew out of it, think it looked quite similar to your stems.
of course also the usual indoor, led disco,
my green gelatos are very green stemed, just one have a hint of red stems and just partially.
i could see to grab a picture.
i do remember i went to a fertilizer with slight more P, as i thought i give always enough Mg, extra epsom every feed. and i also didnt went crazy with the light... at lest to a certin point.

Outdoors plant. 9 weeks outside.
Weather has been terrible so fairly low umols/m2/s, around 200- 300 umols
Mostly overcast or raining. Sun seems to make an appearance ever Thursday, which is nice.......:D
A lot less food, it's been pishing it down here most days so soil is always wet.
Tomatorite ec 1.0 only fed 2 or 3 times.

Indoors plants got Mega Crop 1.2 ec, water, feed, water, feed
900 - 1000 umols/m2/s over 12 hours

I must check the plants under the far red, red and uv-a in tother tent to see what colour stems are

You think the stems colour is an issue? The plant outside is, how can I put it, less aged? Whereas those trimmed stems you show, came from a plant that had flowered? More woody. I hear people mentioning red stems and something about P or K. But like you say, she gave you some frosty stuff. Had a good life on the edge, flowered, and left you a gift. I would be concerned if I had young plant stock with stems like that, but who gets that?

@Moflow ive got no clue! i cant get my head around it...ive seen it under multiple light sources including flouro. my clones do it but not really anything in flower...other people get it every time and swear its "sunburn" but ive never been convinced by that as i'd get it more often.

If i HAD to bet id say its magnesium/temps related...but really no idea! i dont really think it makes a difference either way...Great White Bud on insta is a good example, he gets it bad but smashes the grows.

Thats the point, does it make a difference to harvest outcome? Do not think so. Its good to be aware and spot things that could possibly be indicators or warnings, but I guess its part of the culture that we can tend to focus on things that do not necessarily make a difference to what really counts. Harvest. Some varieties shine at red stemming. Papaya is one. Still blooms well. We obsess over our babies.

my little pheno collection
No.1
P1040068.JPG
a bit leafy, but quite frosty and swelling up nice now.
smells like nuts, or pistach.
P1040069.JPG
rockhard dense nugs on no.2, overall this plant stayed the smallest.
P1040070.JPG
no3 was the runt, its the strongest plant now producing tons of flowers.
smells gassy and is overall quite pleasing, little foxtailing but ok.
btw. most green gelato on growdiaries, are foxtailing, have to be gentics.

P1040071.JPG
think no.4 is my favorite now, the quickest flowering plant of the bunch.
nice bud structure, good calyx to leaf ratio.
smells like sweet rubber.

i saw a little amber on all of them, while also quite some clear trichs, i guess they can be harvested in a about a week.

Good to hear about the different smells. That pistachio/nut sounds very unique. It will be interesting to see how they turn out after dry and cure. So happy for the runt. It rewarded you for not culling. Are you going to rerun these as clones/cuttings for next round or do you have something new?

i have clones of no.3 and no.4 in the making at the kitchen window.
just cant decide for one.
3 is maybe the biggest yielder, 4 have the nicest structure and is quicker by a week.
maybe could had given no.3 more space and the yield would be similar, idk.
both smell nice, hard to decide there.

1 and 2 have their qualties too, but 2 stayed a bit too small and 1 is too lanky.
1 is front right, 2 is front left, 3 is back right, 4 is back left.

i would really need to smoke them to decide.

also have gelato&cookies seeds as some royal gorilla, but i guess i am fine when i pick one of the 4.

I always struggle to define the elements of the different terpenes, if I smell too much. The nose becomes overloaded. I need more practice and exposure to different things. It can be very interesting to see how some seed varieties produce a range of smells and growth characteristics. Once had two Mandala 8 miles high plants. One longer leaves. The other compact. The compact one had the most intense and disgusting burnt rubber smell during growth and flower, but it went away after dry and cure.

Always a hard call to chose, but I think the heavy yielders are the obvious choice for experiments on lighting and culture experiments. Always good to work with known plants.
