Not that I think it's a good business practice or anything, but in reality sending in a video is a lot less work than sending back the unit and potentially having to pay for return shipping. That said, it seems like it would be pretty to make a fraudulent claim on a "broken" sp2000 with a few simple camera tricks. Not sure that's the best business practice.I'm also running a 2000 and have had no issues with it. I understand products fail, but in this day and age, money is tight and customer service is everything. It's a cheap ass 130$ light. Should have zero issues sending it back and getting a replacement. I had to read the email twice. I've literally never been asked to take a video and send it to a bunch of strangers. No thanks.
Not pics, a video. Was that who told you to take pics?

Nice to know they will give a $20 refund - hilarious.

Turn off location services, and they shouldn't be able to really get any information about you. Or take it to a friends house to make the video, lol.Like i said, i understand things happen. Its not the end of the world, but having to go through this ridiculous process of recording myself in my home running around plugging this piece of shit into different outlets is not acceptable. Im not sending videos of the inside of my house to strangers. A return label should have been sent immediately, no questions asked.
Yeah, based on their return policy, I agree. Three weeks is within the 90-day period.Like i said, i understand things happen. LoL ill take a hard pass on that. I just wont be giving them another dollar.Turn off location services, and they shouldn't be able to really get any information about you. Or take it to a friends house to make the video, lol.
Dude my 2000 has been on non stop for like 3 months. Its an awesome light. For the price theyre decent, well made lights. Whatever is going on with the 1000 is obviously just a random malfunction. No big deal, just give me a new damn light without the runaround. If they would of just sent me a return label i probably could of had thr damn thing mailed out and a new one here by tomorrow. LoL. Sorry, just needed to vent. LoLI hope you follow through. They should replace your light. And I hope it works out because my sf-1000 has been on almost constantly for a few weeks. When they replace it, even if you don't want to use it, give it away or sell it.
Money must not really be that tight, lol.LoL ill take a hard pass on that. I just wont be giving them another dollar.
Same here. I'd follow through. If I get screwed I get kinda pissed off, lol.Money must not really be that tight, lol.
I agree you shouldn't have to do the task they ask you, but in all honesty, it's not that bad.
I'd personally do it, but I definitely understand you not wanting to
