trash. They’re all trash. And no fucking way does 150w of light replace a 1000w hps, thats just Fucking stupid and anybody that believes it a) Has never seen a 1000w light in person b) is pretty stupid.

Fantasy, I know. Please don't think I believed this hype. Show me the figures (and a lot of cheap light sellers cannot).

For the record I bought a 650R from HLG (actually Bloom Lighting, before I knew that RIU members get a discount).

if your buying led lights and the justification for that is that they’ll use less power than a hps for the same amount of light your going to be disappointed. They only people that will actually see a difference in power are cunts running full commercial setups with rooms that contain multiple 600-1000w hps’s and the biggest place they’ll see the savings is on their ac bill.

Except the record isn’t broken. Too many people think they’re saving money in the long run with leds (if they do a bit of math they actually aren’t) instead of using a little extra power and growing 2-3 extra oz’s that will cover the entirety of any power the house uses.

they don’t make massive power bills. You pay by the kwh anyway so pretty much any light you use will cost the same but not all lights will produce the same light etc.

Hps are actually cheaper to run than an aircon, heater, fridge, water system etc etc.

Maybe some of the Mars Hydro white LEDs.

I see the Greenfinger lights are now as low as $132 inc postage.

Also, I looked up the Platinum lights and they appear old (but overhyped) technology e.g. 422W flowers 7'x 7'. The G720 effectively replaces a conventional 1000w HPS grow light while only consuming 422 watts of actual power.
How long ago did you buy your lights (and are they also Blurples)?

People need to understand you don’t save money on power running leds. You don’t save money at all really, you just eliminate the need for an aircon for a bigger portion of the year sometimes.

And introduce the need for a heater in winter

Another point is if a part of the led breaks the avg person will have to buy a whole new light or get it repaired in hid its a new globe or ballast

in canada,i run 4 foot led strips.im a hps guy,pretty happy with results. I pay $ 100 cn for ea strip 48 watts.i run 9 in a 5x5.cut my bill by 40$ a month.my room is cold now.

Yeap im experiencing that in my current blue dream grow its a pheno that does particularly well in the heat i shouldve done it next grow but oh well, shoulda disconnected another cool tube oh well

I have a hard enough time keeping the room cool with a few LEDS running. Beside my friend was doing the same thing and his power bill was huge.
Maybe when I'm an old fuck with my own property I'll make the investment.

I don't pay for the bills my solar panels do
I'm primarily an outdoor grower last season 9lb off 3 plants blows the 1.5g per watt out of the water yeah ?
This is only my second solo indoir run in a tent first run I used a 315cmh and qb288 got added for flower onky for about 17oz 2plants
This run I'm using a hlg550 and have only just flipped
Outdoors my money maker indoor is just my boredom breaker
