That is true. However, I use RO water. I already have to add calcium nitrate and epsom salt to my fertilizer mix since I eliminated the overpriced cal-mag liquid products from my regimen. The only thing that would change for me are the ratios. I actually used the 3-2-1 formula for 2 cycles in a row with moderately successful results. These runs were before I installed RO filtration for my reservoirs. I experienced a few odd quirks with jack's that I didn't with the maxi series. Nothing horrible, but enough to turn me off to the product. Strange leaf mottling and smaller flower size at harvest were the biggest dingers. Great flavor and otherwise healthy looking plants before they were chopped, but something was definitely off. I often wonder if my 180PPM tap water had anything to do with it. I wanted to love Jack's and bought a 25LB bag of it along with a healthy stock of calcium nitrate and epsom salt. I just couldn't make it work well.

i thought the masterblend was an almost direct replacement for the jacks 5-12-26 but yeah, the K is waaaay higher. thanks for that info.

try adding a kelp and humic mix to your maxibloom. the floranova has humics ( i don't think kelp though). i used to use BioAg Cyto Plus but it went up a lot in price. i just got a 1lb bag of "extreme blend" from kelp4less.com kelp, aminos, humics and fulvics in a soluble powder for hydro. good price too. should be here Saturday
I was thinking of ordering that same blend but I saw the NPK was 12-0-6.
holy crap. i didn't notice that. hmmm. looks i might order something else. that's way too much N. the BioAg was 0-0-4 ( i think)
ya i think bioag only has humic acid and kelp thats probably why.
yep, i looked at my bag in the garage. it also has a trace amount of some micronutrients too. it worked well, dissolved well, etc. guess i should have looked at that extreme blend more carefully. oh well, my veggie garden will love it.
ya its the aminos 100%. floralicious is kind of pricey but i looked at the ingredients compared to the other humic/kelp bottles at the hydro store ( liquid karma.... b52) it was the most concentrated.
just some feedbak on the extreme blend: it leaves behind alot of what looks like very fine sand. i'm gonna try it once more in warm water and really shake it up this time and see what happens.

will do. if that doesn't work, i might just try it as a foliar and if not it's going to be used on the tomatoes in the greenhouse. the BioAg stuff mixed up brownish but everything was dissolved.
