To the OP...your first mistake is taking advice from other novices who are only offering bro-science and bad advice. An awful lot of "advice" I read here is nonsense and internet myth. Keep it simple. Start a seedling off in light-mix in a solo cup and a CFL like 6" away. A little seedling can't get enough oxygen in a large pot unless you are a skilled grower who knows what he/she is doing. At one week transplant into a 5 gallon grow bag with FFOF. Get one good auto grow under your belt with no nutrients. Nutrients are to a plant what a multivitamin is to a human. You don't really need them if you have an amended soil. Plants feed through photosynthesis and not bottles with fancy labels.
