Is my seedling over watered?? HELP!!

To the OP...your first mistake is taking advice from other novices who are only offering bro-science and bad advice. An awful lot of "advice" I read here is nonsense and internet myth. Keep it simple. Start a seedling off in light-mix in a solo cup and a CFL like 6" away. A little seedling can't get enough oxygen in a large pot unless you are a skilled grower who knows what he/she is doing. At one week transplant into a 5 gallon grow bag with FFOF. Get one good auto grow under your belt with no nutrients. Nutrients are to a plant what a multivitamin is to a human. You don't really need them if you have an amended soil. Plants feed through photosynthesis and not bottles with fancy labels.

Most of the issues I see people encounter come from following bad advice. Go to your library, or order Jorge Cervantes book from Amazon and do some reading.

flushing doesnt matter if you just add a hot mix back on the roots. Water soluble nutes are readily available to the plant, so what touches the roots when you water gets absorbed into the plant. So basically when you water a plant with synthetic nutes your doing a form of hydro at that point.

To the op.. with all the bad advise out there I wouldnt buy ffof (which sucks) and try to grow a plant from start to finish with no nutes, as ffof isnt an ammended soil like you might think it is. Its mostly peat and mulch. To be clear its ammended as they add some things to it but there are better soils out there. And I definitly wouldnt try it without microbes breaking it down so its available to the plant. And also they say your supposed to plant an auto in its final pot so you didnt mess that up from what I know about it.

Don’t need notes so early as this if you’re in a decent grow medium. I Generally use any garden centre compost 50/50 with coco and a scoop or two of perlite. Always used tap water from day 1 and never had a problem. Also I put them under a T5 about 6” inches away, they love it.

Starting out with Ec 1.3 is common for growers in Holland, it isn't hot at all.

You are most welcome. You'll be surprised by how well an auto with do in FFOF with no nutes at all. In coco you need it for sure. Best of luck :bigjoint::bigjoint:

Just an update for everyone the plant is doing much better I can see noticeable growth and the plant looks a lot healthier. I did what the gram reaper said and watered with nutes with about 3 pints I had some run off so I lifted the pot off of the floor in my tent I also moved my light a bit closer and the plant seems to love it. I also popped a purple kush autoflower seed which is in a paper towel right now I’m debating on going coco again or going soil can anyone give me a good soil recommendation thanks guys

Not to be a smartass...but you need to realize that plants "feed" through photosynthesis. Nutrients are like a daily vitamin that we take. They aren't the food source.

That being said I use nutrients...but I'm 57 and I've been growing since 1984. I screwed up many a grow with nutes until I realized that less = more....and that the stuff that comes in bottles isn't the "food" source. My advice to someone who is starting out is to get an autoflower grow or two under your belt with no nutes at all. A 5 or 7 gallon pot of FFOF contains all the "vitamins" you need to grow an auto without adding anything. I wouldn't grow a photo without nutes but an auto yes.

Ok got it I just popped a new seed I will try this out. what’s the ph range for soil?

OP, I don't mean to come across as an expert because I'm not. I learn new stuff everyday. One of the most important lessons I learned was to leave the plants alone as much as possible. The more we try to interact with them the more we screw them up...especially when starting off.

Here is my latest grow. No nutes at all for 3 weeks then they got 1/2 dose of Gobox grow formula, calmag and biomarine. I don't open the other bottles in the set as the plants look healthy enough without them. These are photoperiod. the water is straight from the tap unfiltered.
