This is my first crack at growing. Successfully raised and harvested 6 plants outdoors in the ground.
4 of 6 are dried and now curing in Mason jars (last 2 plants are still drying). Drying consisted of hanging branches upside down in a well-ventilated shed for a week followed by a second week hanging inside a room in the house with 50-60% r.h. and 60 degrees F temp.
I'm using small hygrometers inside the jars to monitor r.h. Don't have enough for every jar but try and rotate them every few days. 3 of the 4 plants curing are showing a r.h. of 64-67%. But the fourth is giving me readings of 70%--and this morning I saw 72% in a jar that had some larger buds in it. Everything gets "burped" once a day for 30 minutes or so but the plant with the high humidity I've been leaving the lids off for several hours each day.
Is that sufficient or should I dump out the buds and let them dry outside the jars for a few hours or days? Not seeing any signs of mold anywhere but my research indicates that 70% or higher readings is asking for trouble.
Thanks for any advice.
