mixed nutrients smelling after 3 days

No. Algae means organic. I think CannaCoco medium and their nutrient line are organically derived. If it's organic, it has little to do with pH. If hydro, that's a different story.

I suppose anaerobic bacteria could seriously acidify your pH to the point it is of concern, though.
Yes I think the Rhizo and zym (enzymes) is organic but not the a and b and coco is basically hydro

Gotcha. Is it smelling rotted, or just earthy?
Not really sure will have to see later the only problem I have is I might not always be there to mix them up so was just mixing enough for the week and my friend could water them I might take out the Rhizo and see how it is then and just add the Rhizo weekly or something

That's going to be important, the smell. Make sure.

You guys should consider going full organic and using Roots Dry Nutrients Player Pack. Shit takes care of itself. You only feed and water it once a week on average.

Doesnt an air stone cause the ph to fluctuate I thought stiring it everyday would help also what about just plain water is that OK to let sit
It won't cause PH to change. And leaving water in a bucket out sitting stagnant will get slimeand stuff the only time you even need to worry is if you rock city water and leave it out to gas off chlorine and that takes 24 hrs.

I use the rain water out of my water butt (catches rain off the roof to conserve for watering garden etc ) this water sits, is that not a good idea ?

For outside grows I would think it would be fine. For indoors I would refrain due to bugs breeding in there and other undesirable growth you may not want in your grow room.

I did debate that but I thought the nutes I mix in would kill anything like that lol

May go to tap water then , it looks healthy so far and no sign of any life in my cupboard but prevention is always better then a cure :)

Well I smelt it again tonight and then my other tub which is just filled with water and they smelt the same there's probably 25l left in that tub been mixing it every day surely that water can't be bad

Smell the mixture, itself, if possible.

Really only 2l for a 5g pot? I'm doing 7l per 5g, giving me a half L runoff. Water once every 5 days or so ..

And those are only on day 27 flower..
Yeah fill a 2L bottle and she will get one around every 4-6 days , minimal run off but it does start leaking from bottom . Plenty of perlite in my soil for good drainage :)

This was day 34 from seed ..

I remember mixing up a gallon (4 litres) of GH Maxi-Bloom/Cal-Mag for a small hempy grow

I used 1 litre for the daily feeding and put the other 3 litres into separate mason jars for the next 3 days

by the time I used the last jar the solution would stink.....hence I gave up on that idea and now only mix what I need for that feeding

I mix up my nutrient weekly and never had a problem with it but I sometimes smell a mild sulpher smell.
When it goes cloudy afaik it's due to elements bonding together.
Are you mixing it thoroughly and in the right order?

I don't know how it works but putting a bubble stone into your nutrient can cloudy back to clear, I've seen it for my own eyes, however I don't know if the cloudy was due to bonding or bacteria, anyway it went from cloudy to clear with a adding a pump and stone?

If anyone knows why it works in some situations (maybe all?) I'd like to know for curiosity sake?

Order? I mix the canna bio in 10L bottles. Flowering plants are getting BIOCANNA Bio Flores, bio boost, seaweed powder, and cal-mag. After mixing I Add PH up to bring it to 6.1. Vegging plants just get BIOCANNA Bio Vega, and seaweed PHed to 6.1. Plants are doing great. Just had a funny smell because I used some left from the last feed. Read this thread and got concerned I through acidified feed in my strewberry glue at week 7 of flower. The soil microbes might help buffer my mistake a bit. These plants have a super high metabolism. They are in 5 gallon fabric bags and the ones in late flower are now drinking 3.5L of feed water every other day. I alway probe the soil just to make sure they’ve drank up the last feed before I give them another.

I presume its like a pond vs a lake situation. More movement the better the quality the water is gonna be. A pond gets pondscum vs spring water fed lake is always much cleaner. Is this the reservoir and if so does it have a clear lid or something dark that prevents light from getting into it?

I haven’t graduated to an auto feed system. I mix in 10L containers and water till runoff with a pump strayer. It takes way to long but I can’t get a watering can under my canopy. After this grow I’m getting an auto feed system.
