What is up with this plant?

This is an ethos Quattro Kush that I wanted to keep as a mother plant. It was doing gloriously under one of the Lenofocus QB knockoffs. I moved the plant into another room under a strip light that I built with some of the Influx09 strips, there are two indentical lights with two 5000k strips and one 3500k each running on a ELG 240 just trying to use as a veg light. Nothing else has changed except the light. It went from lushness to all of a sudden all the new growth is distorted and sickly looking.

Is it the spectrum? is there something that is obvious that I am missing?

So those bugs cause the speckles? Cause some of those white spots looked like mold or mildew to me. it's bugs, eh?
 
What i would do is cut back/off all scorched looking parts of the plant, remove the main affected largest fan leaves, then get your horticultural soap spray ready in a pressure mister and completely saturate the whole plant every single part under leaves, top of leaves stems the whole lot, allow to dry, do not place back into your light flower/veg room until the spray has dried, therefore coating the plant completely, if this doesn't stop whatever is up with the plant plan b comes into play- you have to have a plan b first.lol.

Thanx all, really don't think it is PM as I am struggling to keep the humidity up to even 30%. I did take a closer look with my loupe and saw a couple of black dots on the bottom of some of the leaves, hopefully the soap will take care of them.

Black dots are thrip poop.
Hope it's a combination of light burn and thrips, that would be better than what I thought it might be.

If the canoeing continues unabated after the light issue is resolved it might end up being a micro mite issue.

Look at cannabis russet mites or cannabis broad mites in google images and you will see the similarity to light burn.

If it is a micro mite issue the leaf will have an unusual shine in between the canoeing.

Hope it's light burn not micro mites.

It is not something that happens often. I could probably find some members who have experienced it.

I don't want to @ anyone but I'm pretty sure Dr. Who has dealt with them and I think Hydro Red also has dealt with them, not sure about Red, might have been spider mites in his case.

I could dig deeper and find more links tomorrow if you like. I guess it's the look of his leaves to me. The pattern and locations just don't look like light damage to me but again I hope I'm wrong, light damage would be a better option.

looking at russet mite damage, these plants do look like it could well be russet mites causing issue.

I would wait for a couple of people familiar with this type of damage to confirm it.
If it is the crop will probably be pulled and the room would need cleaning.
They are hard to battle.

What has me concerned is the way some leaves in random locations have canoed leaves and the leaves close by them are not canoeing.
The other possible sign is the newest growth looks almost dead in the 1st pic in the middle and the larger fan leaves near the dead new growth appear relatively fine.

Just an internet guess without being in the room using a loupe , no idea on specific species from a pic. Thrips/mites have similar leaf spots, again possible. It's not light damage imo, as you can see the lower new/tender growth (pest prone) exhibiting same issues.

Don't know what the rest of the area/plants look like?.,.... But for me it wouldnt be worth the long hard battle if spread throughout?= so scrap, bomb, sanitize, start over, cause most likey will end up with a "dirty" final product.

Easier said when it's not your op obviously. Please don't use popular no pest strips(dichlorvos) yes cheap/very effective slow release insecticide but toxic when ingested & inhaled.
 
The plant is semi isolated, my "cloner" is nearby that has a couple of adolescent plants in it that were severely malnourished from another strain that I am flowering now. They are also exhibiting the gnarled new growth and went through the same lighting change which led me to ask the original question.

If it is russet mites they are hiding very well, I have scoured the plant with my 60x loupe and can see no indications of them from the pics I found on google search. I DID find some indications of thrips and also maybe an aphid,

Thinking about shitcanning the whole thing, I do have a small cutting that has taken root from the ethos strain that I am thinking about trying to nurse along and put the problem on a much smaller scale.

This is just a small personal grow, have been having hell all summer, three beautiful plants outside that got pollinated by some rogue plant somewhere in the neighborhood that finally succumbed to a caterpillar invasion. Battled aphids for a couple of months on two auto-flowers in the tent etc etc. But I keep on trying, one day I will bring home one of these plants without problems.
