I have a dimmer and I'm a clutz alot of the time. So this is super important for me.
1st Spiderfarm 2x2 tent with New SF1000 w/dimmer grow

Tuesday update.

For my outdoor plants they generally get started with a cfl and get slowly introduced to the sun. But I wanted to go with this set up from seed to finish so I am doing it all under the SF1000.
6 days after they broke soil. 1st 2 days was me dialing in the light in which I caused stretch I didn't like. Realized I was running them at 8000 lux at canopy height. Raised to 15000 then to 16000 a day later continued until 19500. That took care of it. Buried all of the stems and we've been good for days now. No more stretch.
I worked on raising and lowering the light however what a pain in the ass that is when measuring lux.
Turned to the dimmer and 1000 times easier to dial in. I suggest the dimmer for newbies who need to get it right with little frustration.
Growing well. So far loving the light.

You said it has a 100w draw at the wall? If so this might actually be workable for me if I decide to start growing indoors again.

Tuesday update. All going very well. Progression from sat until today has been wonderful.
Saturday
This morning.
10 days from sprout. Will be taking the lux up to 25k today and bumping periodically for veg. All with the dimmer. Have not had to move the light at all. Only at 60% of power where I am at height wise.

Im excited for you bro, you got this!
Im virtually using the same setup and it was a lot of fun. It gets pretty warm in the summer tho, that light can warm up a box within a half hour. The winter is gonna be a great time to crank out some fatty bomb batties. Cant wait to see your thread week 9 flower lol

Something I failed to mention about growing outdoors.
If you get too high of temps in flower and don't do something about it you will lose damn near all flavor in your weed.
I was bringing 3 10 gallon grow bags in and out of my garage when it got over 95 degrees. Honestly I should have cut it off at 90 but that would have cut short alot of sun time.
I have done grows where I said fuck it and didnt shelter them from the heat the taste and smell were just not there.
Something to ponder as you are getting set up for your outdoor grow.

I'm pondering what to do with my blueberry cookies my gg4 i found 2 weeks ago def spread her shim jizz this is my first run ever with not only both a herm but seeds. so annoying-.-
have you ever seen self seeded buds from heat stress? trying to narrow it down

I've seen nanners from heat stress yes. No doubt in my mind thats what caused them.
It was a blueberry big bud that did it. In fact there were 3 that I grew the year I said fuck it and all of them popped nanners. I just plucked em and moved on. No seeds came of it.

my gg4 had to many to pluck and had 2 others downwind, as I read though im finding this to be pretty common when running more then just clones, guess if its absolutely chock full I can make hash

I also read that water can sterilize pollen , perhaps outside you got lucky, something to ponder now that your indoors!

I can say I did give them a spray down once a month with the hose. So its possible I killed the pollen if there was any.
Yes water does in fact render pollen inactive.

When they get bigger, like these did under my SF2000. Can you spot the hygrometer? Lol. Down low there isn't the best place at this stage but I have other sensors higher controlling the environment.

The placement of that sensor will be a hydrometer
I do see the hydrometer in the plant are you checking root zone as well as canopy?

Nope just had that hygrometer in the trunk of that plant because I could lol. Shame I had to give those two plants away before they finished.
