I got my heat issues figured out. But worrying about co2 and don’t have the availability to set up a co2 tank atm. So my question is. I have a exhaust fan running through lights and have a portable ac set up that exhaust air through window as well.

in the closet I cut out a hole and placed a dryer vent on it which goes into the open part of the house by the washer.

now my understanding is the ac and the exhaust fan will push out air and in turn suck air through the vent and provide fresh air/co2

do I need a bigger or more open vents for air to be pulled in from?

Depends on the exhaust fan size. Size of the room.

A 6" to an 8" will pull a negative pressure. The 8" will ensure air flow.(air exchange)

It's ok to hook an 8" to a 6" system. Velocity.

I use a 12"X12" hole. 14" X14" AC vent cover. It needs to be bigger. 14" hole. Dust filter involved also.

Okay if I do that. How do you keep light from coming in through the vent cover?
Also. The air on the house is on at all times will the air pumping through that will that help with the air exchange also?

The house AC is excellent fresh air.

On the vent. Pick the darkest area to place it. I use the fluffy pre filter that comes with carbon filters as the intake filter.

As for light. Your set up is custom. Come up with solutions to where either standing in the grow room or using a camera to take a video. You can't see light. Make sure the grow space is death dark.
