Adding Power Si

Just got some Power Si in the mail today and I’m anxious to use it but I want to make sure I’m not making a mistake by adding it this late in flower.
Tray 1 (4x4) that’s at day 43 getting Jacks 3,2,1 plus their finish product. drain to waste coco.
I was planning on adding it to my other trays
Tray 2 (4x4) at day 30 getting 3-2-1, 2.5 ml cal mag,

Tray 3 (4x4) is 8 days into flower getting jacks 2-2-1.5, 0.07g MOST, and 1.2g MKP.

any thoughts would be appreciated! Thanks

I'm using Power Si in my hydro and coco grows this run.
I used it during veg and flower stretch, it seems to have made quite a difference in the hydro run.
Stems are much stiffer, to the point where training can be challenging if you need to bend an older branch.
I know they recommend switching over to the bloom formula after the stretch, but I haven't used it.

What's so great about Power Si vs other Si products like Armor Si?

I saw this post on IG the other day, and it was enough to make me unfollow the guy. I mean come on, I don't need advertisements filling up my feed..

I think that Armor Si uses Potassium Silicate while Power Si uses Silicic Acid to provide Si.
From what I understand about getting silica into solution is that it's difficult to achieve any appreciable changes in available concentration.
Power Si uses a different route to achieve that compared to any of the nutes using potassium silicate.
Potassium Silicate is a strong base, so you need to use ph down to adjust.
Power Si is a weak acid, so you need to use ph up to adjust.

I use Armor Si instead of up tho.

I'm thinking of going with AgSil 16H when I run out of Armor Si. It's still Potassium Silicate, but in powdered form, so a pound of the stuff will make 650 gallons @ 98ppm SiO2 or 46ppm Si, and 49ppm K.

Are you using the Power Si in a dwc or rdwc system? If so did you have any issues with it?

I’m doing drain to waste, sorry I don’t know how it would go with those. I’d check around on Instagram. Just search the hashtag and look to see if anyone is running a system like yours. I’m guessing that should give you some answers or at least people to ask.

I wonder how Power Si compares with Alchemist Stout MSA, whick is apparently Monosilicic acid (H4SiO4 aka ortho-silicic acid). The application rates are a lot higher than Power Si, but you can buy a gallon of the stuff for the price of 250ml of Power Si.

Used Alchemist Stout MSA and noticed no difference compared to using GH silica in prior runs. I was hoping i could use it as a ph down since its an acid but it doesnt raise nor lower the ph. and i use the maximum 5ml per gal and it doesnt even raise the EC by 0.1. could be RO water for all i know.

I do have a bottle of powersi sitting and collecting dust for the next month or two until next veg cycle to test out.

im either going to use it as a ph down in my rez or spray a section of plants weekly or biweekly to see if it does anything compared to the others.

Did you ever start using Power Si... whats your opinion?

Hi,@GBAUTO
Can you please help me out?

How do you add silicaacid to your nutrient solution?
It says that silicaacid is unusable under 7ph, but all dwc grows need a much lower ph.
Thank you very much.
