Realize that everyone has different set ups, and different relationships with their plants. To make a statement like “this is this and it’s the only way”, esp in growing, is silly.

My 3 gallon pots were getting just over 1 gallon each daily at one point. Your last point is spot on.

I was looking at that post and it was not you who said it, just you who quoted it and that post is now gone. I get your frustration, it can be painful here sometimes. I just hate that term, I would much prefer someone use "you dumb fuck". Just feels less ignorant and racist to me.

Guess it all perspective. The term is usually used to signify white woman of a certain age group who feel entitled or demanding beyond the scope of what is normal. You are correct, also sexist. Anyway, not trying to derail you thread. It's just a term I am not a fan of.
 
Giving mass amounts of water to flush in a soil grow is asking for trouble, brings on bud rot. Lack of oxygen in the root zone and also makes the s cells expand in return creates a very high humidity within the buds. Seen it happen a few times.

You will not get the same result with LST as regular topping. They're simply different techniques. You top to get an even structured canopy. When you LST you loose a lot of that control and it's also more work for no real gain if you compare to regular topping and supercropping techniques.

It's a complete mess trying to lollipop a LST'd plant. They look like a uncontrolled mess most of the times. Cheers!

Again, not here to argue, or really tell anyone what to do. I’ve been doing this a long time. Experimented a bit, outgrown everyone I came up with including the pros. I’ve tried topping, fimming, SCROG, LST, and letting the plant just grow as it wants. SCROG and LST have always given me the best results from seed. Most potent and most terpy. Everyone who has smoked my flower agrees. I top cloned plants with excellent results. But honestly, you do what works for you. Me openly giving advice when asked is simply here as advice, not scripture.
