Another story that proves guns make people safer

This is the second mass shooting in a week and this is the only post I’ve seen mentioning it.

It looks like people are becoming more and more insensitive to these things. Scary.
Well, maybe we are becoming desensitized, that's one possibility. It does seem like more of a sea change than resignation. This therad started as a troll for the gun toting " 'muh rats" and 'murrica, USA! crowd. It got their attention. In the past, they always popped off whenever negative comments about gunz and gun violence were brought up. But this time, crickets from them.

Another alternative is that we are passing the tipping point and the opposition to reforming our idiotic gun laws is wearing thin. Gun owners aren't even close to a majority, only about 33% of households have a gun. They've got by for a long time with grace from non-gun owning families. Also heavy propaganda from the gun lobby. With each wave of reporting about gun violence, their message becomes more and more clearly a lie. Not saying this is the reason. Just voicing an alternative. Maybe we are changing as a society.

In terms of spending power, the NRA and the pro gun lobby are being outspent by those for sensible gun laws.

Do those companies have to disclose their 'advertising' that goes to trolling for them.

don't know what you are talking about in this post.

I went back and checked. No advertisers listed. Strangely, not even on the CNN link.

Personally, yeah, I'm a rich man with that one post (sardonic font)

I am pretty sure I was talking about NRA's messaging being pushed by paid militarized troll is essentially off the books advertising that they are receiving.

Im guessing actual organizations like the ones you listed might actually have to list the companies they have pushing their messaging when they file their taxes.

I'm guessing I'm naive. I posted to the those links to the forum in case anybody was interested. Nothing tangible came my way, my bank account confirms.

Other than the CNN article that doesn't have any adverts in it, the other links just go directly to PACs . I'm not aware if there is money exchanging hands between CNN in exchange for the article the PAC. Seems a bit cynical to just assume it's all crooked but then again, I guess I'm naive.

I am kind of lost.

I apologize if I hijacked your point.

It had something to do with graft or kickbacks. In any case, there are a whole lot so called political action groups that mostly funnel the money to the consultants running those sites without much going to the cause. Witness Trump's PAC and dare I say it, The Lincoln Project. So, not a bad question. I wasn't endorsing those anti-gun PACs, just putting them out there. I'm pretty sure the Gifford's PAC is clean.
