Hellooo,

New grower here, i decided to sign up to this forum to keep myself right. Im growing an auto at the minute and its relatively tight and bushy. Am i good to go ahead and trim off big fan leaves? its starting to flower and stink and im worried the undergrowth is too shaded. So, are fan leaves are good to go?

I started off with two autos, and seem to have experienced every problem a new grower can run into. But im happy for the mistakes as its helping me learn.. Shes now looking fairly healthy and lush green with no signs of problems this past couple of weeks. Its a passion project now so need to see it through. I Imagine my early problems will mean lesser yield. But as far as new growers go i think im doing rather well from what ive seen from others :)

Got a real DIY set up with homemade fabric 'wardrobe' decent LED with dimmer, fan, mylar lined, 3gal fabric pot, half coco half soil.. ph dialed in. I will need to add pics when i can get my phone connected to this laptop, or take some pics on a good camera. Basically just wanted to say hi! and to ask about the leaves.. ive taken off a few today while out for watering to see how she reacts... i was concerned about how tight the nodes/layers were but the more i research im getting the idea that its not a bad thing, necessarily...

As a new grower i would advise anyone else starting out to definitely have a fan to circulate air and to get your PH dialed in.. once i got that right everything took off. Also just leave the plants alone. The first few weeks i wanted to over love them and i think that was my first mistake. Cant wait to start my second grow now i have a little knowledge under my belt. Hopefully i can end this one on a high with no more problems. Want to add an extra strip light of more blues as ive heard its good for flowering stage? my LED says full spectrum but i noticed there is no blue diodes

Sorry, i enjoy a good ramble lol

Nah, it was blocking light completely.. it grew really tight and short so bushed in on itself a ridiculous amount. I will get a pic up of before and after if i can get them onto this laptop. Been taking pics every so often to track progress. Im still convinced i did the right thing here. Still loads left on her.. just freed up a little space for full light and air. Dont want it getting moldy either, which ive read is a problem. If ive done one thing its research. I tend to get a bit obsessed when i get into things. Few hours a day for a few months of constant reading and watching of other peoples grows.. what not to do, what to do etc. Learning from others mistakes. But i have for sure made my own mistakes so far so we will see hah! i cant believe how stinky it is already

Ive not removed them all, maybe 20-30% of those shadowing lower bud sites. The plant itself was verrrrrrry thick and dense
That’s what they need a comfy home not naked, Get better fan if worried about mold. I trimmed a little under growth on mine but at very bottom And they are thick and loving it just have to have air flowing

Is this how guys feel about their dicks? i dont want to show you cause mine is small lol nah, i will, but maybe tomorrow. Ive got my feet up for the night and shes in darkness atm. Question for you guys though, what strains are good for pain? Looking to play about with flavors too. My current one is AK for nostalgia. Its the first strain i tried when i lived in Montreal twenty years ago. Smells sooooo good

Sorry no pic today either. Absolutely wrecked from some actual gardening yesterday. Also got some deficiencies showing today i had to nip in the bud. Lowered her down a little in my DIY tent and flushed with dialed in ph water and a slight feed. Shes perking up a little again. Fingers crossed! Never thought growing weed could be so stressful lol im nearly there... to mess it up now would be so disheartening. Going to start another couple in the next couple of weeks and ill make sure to document the whole thing on here. And i will get pics up, i promise!

You got deficiencies so you flushed? I’d really like to see pics honestly To see what you’ve got going on.

I had a bit of a ... puzzle. I think what i got isnt an auto flower. As it really wasnt acting like one... I also dont think i was properly in flower yet as it had the two week stretch since i was last here. She doubled in size.. Ive been training it by bending over the highest branches to get a good canopy. Now the whole thing is busting out of my DIY grow room lol. Funny now that i thought id be able to get two plants in there!

I switched the lights over a week ago to see if can get it into flower and I THINK its working.... also added the extra strip of red and blues, maybe going to get another for the other side... to make it more even, but i am rotating her a couple of inches a few times a day. Its still looking healthy af and going strong. Very little deficiencies and i have had to keep plucking at her leaves as she is still very very dense. Going to try get few pics up. Just need to work out how to get them from my phone to my laptop... no cloud set up.
