Should nutrients (ppm) be increased with Co2 enrichement?

Dealing with a very undialed room right now and I inject ( neighbors ) my temps are at first glance great 81-84 rh 55-65 (My leaf surface temp is about 4 degrees cooler than my canopy so I believe that’s why I run a little drier than yourself)

high intensity led

maybe you can offer some insight.

feeding at 1.6 ec flora flex
.75 ml silica .2 ec calimagic and the rest base.
watering to significant run off 2 x a day

Been out on "Holiday" - time to answer questions....

Looks like you may have a Mag hog strain - bump that up a tad.
Maybe a tic across the board (nute wise) but, looks pretty good.

If your in soil?
You have no need for supplementing Si! The plant will get "all it can use" from the soil.
Save a few coins on that.

Hope vacation was enjoyable .

I did come to the conclusion that mag could be braught up a bit and have been using mag amp. I’m in coco and that’s the reason for running si. I’m going to stop runningit in transition as I think it’s attributing to my transition stretch.

I’ll post a few pics of what the garden looks like tonight when lights come up. It’s been a rough cycle!

Coco eh?
There it is. You need to run extra Ca and closely watch your Mg input.
Run the Ca/Mg at full strength - CaliMagic is a good choice and 5ml per gallon would be my baseline. Be prepared to add more if needed.

Si IS a good choice for any type of hydro application.

Only N issue's "repair" in the leaves. Look to changes in the new growth.

Interesting. That would be .5-.6 ec in just calimagic which I think would cause other potential issues this far in my flower cycle at day 28 today.
There’s already a sturdy amount of calcium and magnesium in my base nutes and I have been feeding these containers long enough for cations to be satisfied IMO.

RN .3 calimagic —> .2 mag amp—->1.4 base.

do you really think I’m just not satisfying calcium needs? Upping to full strength calimagic will help things?

what’s really interesting is I have 2 fluence 2i over 4x8 worth of platinum cake there all easily a week or two behind a 4x4 with different leds that looks stacked.

I’ll post some photos at lights up.

check em.
Would have been a beautiful run if things went better nutrient wise.

I think I been pushing to hard.

The 4x4 that’s tallest thinks I’m pushing just right. The two fluence sections ( shorter sections and photos that show the most discoloration) just look so behind the electric sky 4x4.

I’d be willing to bet my problem is related to calcium. Magnesium at this point maybe but I am hesitant to point the finger at calcium.

Yes! I see Cal/Mg issues starting in those leaves pictured.

Coco needs extra!

As far as the discoloring plants go?
I would say that's low N and/or high P problems starting.

What is the NPK value your feeding? Don't give me EC please. NPK value is what I need to make the right call!

Always keep in mind you will have differing feed needs between different strains!
I have N lovers, Mag Hogs, P haters, the list goes on and on. it's a variable world.
In any type of closed loop or single feed mix hydro system.... Run only strains that "ask" for the same feed mix's.

Day 30

.3 ec camg—>.2 mag amp —> remainder base. Last night I dropped to .3 camg .2 mag amp and base up to 1.8.

runoff was 2.2 across the board so I think I may just be pushing to hard.

Your absolutely right about everything having different requirements.

It’s crazy my platinum cake under electric sky is doing so much better than the ones under the fluence.

dr photon at coco for cannabis was quick to shit on the npkvalue of flora flex saying it had to much p & k.

scratching My head for sure. On there schedule rn I should be ditching camg.

I should crank that camg you think? In week 5 now. Crank camg and drop base?

I like around an NPK value of 4-6-6 in bloom.
Some minor tickling of P&K at early stages of bloom. maybe a bit of N drop, and a slight P increase in the last 2 weeks or so.
That is with strains that want that.

Add the Cal/Mg and keep the base too.. How much added in the base is the question.

How much calcium in base? Do you support dr photons theory about the npk I mentioned being a little much ? Or the incorrect NER for coco?

Yes - How much Cal in base?

Little much? Maybe for those strains yellowing. Looks like low N, maybe some high P along with it.
Pbbreathe aren’t complaining starting to think this platinum cake phenos sucks or is to picky. Like to figure it out but at day 35 rn so all is pretty much done mistakes made now can’t really be corrected it seems. P cake appears healthy run off is in check and there just not putting off a lot of resin, not stacking & not stinking.

Can’t find any grow journals on it either

The better the led the more they tend to eat up calcium so coco plus fluence equals a need.....of more cal mag for sure.

anything above 1000 umol should be enhanced 1 for 1 over 1000, my light rated 1482umol so about 1080 usable umol, so co2 should be at 1080 ppm co2 for optimum growth, what about these lights that are pushing over 2700umol? Shoots my theory all to hell. I know that co2 helps with intense light absorbsion. Like someone said above 1200ppm of co2 should be max. Only my opinion, we all have them. I dont test ppm of co2 as am using homebrew co2, but since using have noticed big difference. Over 1500 ppm will draw in bugs or so lve been told.

Even this deep in flower? This turned into a good thread with a lot of info.

last night I reduced my camg except for what’s in my base. Braught up my sulfur and mag.
If it is ca things should get worse. At this point I just want to know so things should get worse quick if ca is the problem here.

thabks for your insight farmer
I’ll post some pics in an hour when lights go out

Interesting.
I’ve never heard the bug theory with elevated co2 and would love to read a case study if there’s any on that one. I’ve capped my co2 at 1000 in the past with good success but have been playing with higher temps this run & higher co2.

Here are some photos guys I really appreciate all the insight.

the peanut butter breath section is looking good. Did see a few signs of calcium def. there is also a platinum cake on that4x4 that’s doing very well.

the other two 4x4 with platinum cakes are doing ok just not gaining terpenes and not stacking as large bud structure as the 4x4 w/ Pb breathe and 1 platinum cake.

Last night I reduced camg to .2 and upped my p,k & mag/sulfur
@ 1.6 ec
Flora flex b1 and b2 1-1.5 ratio.

day 33.

1st photo platinum cake in PB section under
Electric sky led stacking way harder and putting off much more trichs and terms than fluence section.

photo 2: calcium showing on PB breathe
Photo 3 is a PB bud that got bend under trelace and is subsequently under the fluence. ( the rest of this plant under the electric sky looks great and no necrosis just this bud)

next 4 photos are looking down the line into the fluence sections ( all platinum cake)

I know things look decent but trust me the platinum cake tables are way behind in production & vigor trichs terps...

Next photo is platinum cake under fluence

last photo is off platinum cake under electric sky looking beastly

in short I’m down to 1.6 ec I’ve reduced camg and upped p and k and am going to really observe the changes that come when lights come up and over the next few days.

if lack of calcium is the problem we are deffinately about to find out quickly

It'll show that fluence is a good light. I can't imagine the cal mag I'm may need running these 1500ish watt leds they're monsters. 1590 per light from the wall.ive got 12 or so a room lol.
