Garage grow

Hey guys, I’m on my first indoor grow that’s gonna be in my garage that has 2 windows. I have a 4x4 tent and I’m wondering if I have to cover up the windows to block out ambient light or will it not be a problem? I’ll be running my lights during the day.

You’ve kind of answered your own question, lights out and it’s night, you should be good to go, but best to jump inside the tent and see for sure. Will you be running fans? Filters and/or anything else like extraction fans? Is it legal to grow where you live?

Yea That’s what I thought. I have two 6” fans that will be inside the tent for moving air and my exhaust fan will be blowing air out of a window, good thing it’s legal up here in Oregon. Thanks man.

I’m jellouse, I’ve just been busted and have no plants on the go, I’d love to live where its legal, How far away from the window will the tent be and will you be venting out of it or just using the size of the garage? If you have someone who can zip you up in the tent it will help you to detect any light leeks, you would be amazed at how badly made some of these tents are stitched up. Always err on the side of caution

That sucks, hope you can start back pretty soon. The window is right in back of the tent, so I’ll be exhausting the air out of the widow. I’ll give it a try, I’ll have someone zip me up. But talking about light leaks, I was planning on leaving the bottom vents open, won’t that be a leak as well? But still I guess running lights during day isn’t much of a problem right?

You could black out the windows to be on the safe side, it.s only a small amount of paint or just sticky tape some card over them instead. At least you will know for sure that there’s no need to worry about it, nothing worse then hermits being thrown up over a pin hole light keep, and that’s all it can take is a pin hole if the light outside the tent is bright enough
