Lets See Your Outside Plants

We're getting close to the flip where I live in Eastern Canada. I've got 4 plants in homemade containers. They're 4 feet in diameter, 2 feet high and made from hardware cloth, and I wrapped burlap around them to keep the sun from heating them up too much. I've got some fence posts and 4 foot high cattle fence that I put up when they get a bit wider. This is the third year for me outside and I'm organic, mostly because it's easier than mixing nutes for them and cheaper. I've gotten hit by hurricanes both times that I was outside before so that's never a good way to finish them. I almost didn't bother this year just because I know that I'm gonna get smoked again BUT I'd feel pretty bad if by some miracle we didn't and everyone else got a good harvest in.
Bungee cords are a life saver in the wind.

Those look fantastic! It would bring me to tears to see them get hit by a hurricane for sure.
These are my 2nd outdoor season here in Southern Ontario. Last year was a 2 week battle against some powdery mildew and I am hoping for a smoother finish this year.

I like your setup. I use the same type of T-bar posts but I wrap my fencing around them to make a big barrel of pot. Never thought to use a scrog setup; good idea.
 
One of the bad things about outside plants is bugs. Not much of a surprise there I guess. I don't usually have a problem with spider mites but I usually get aphids. Aerosol pyrethrin, milk and water, and lots of natural ladybugs have all worked well for me BUT I'm not too sure what this is. Anyway it's off the plant. Not the first time I've seen this either; I get a few leaves like this every year.

The other great thing about outside is wind and rain. I'm in the East coast of Canada and we had a real wet July. Couldn't string 3 dry days together to get your lawn dry enough to mow it. Super rain yesterday and lots of wind behind it. The rain made the branches heavy and the wind tore them off. The first two pics are one of my thrashed plants. That's a nasty break and a too big a piece of foliage for me to cut off if I don't have to. I find as long as they haven't wilted they'll be ok.
I drove a t-bar post into the ground and zip tied the limb to it. Looks good to me!
Next is a close up of the repair. I used 4 zip ties to pull the wound closed. Not sure if it'll seal up 100% but I'll bet it comes close. Those are real bad places to get bugs living in.

If you can see them, and they cover a big area, catipillars are coming. Kill those eggs.

Southern Ontario had rain last 2 weeks of june and most of july. Never watered in july. Had Afghanni 1 self top then split, tied with trail tape, shes becoming very impressive considering her start. My pots look so big in spring, so small in fall. Time for bigger pots. You plants are quite impressive.
 
Yeah weather has been a bitch BUT way better to have rain in veg than flower. I'm hopeful for a dry fall. Think I put fluids on once in July. I had small pots before and it's too much work putting fluids on them. Thanks for the compliment; I hope they finish out well but I'm expecting my usual hurricane in Sept/Oct.
Your deck plants look real healthy.

Fingers crossed it has not shown up, I have been doing some more aggressive pruning trying to open up everything and did apply a sulpher spray 3 weeks ago so I hope that helps. I do want to hit them with a potassium bicarbonate spray this week before they start to set on flowers soon.

So how have you been dealing with the PM? Last year it showed in mid September for me so I only had to battle a few weeks.
 
Had a strangely early start to flower this year, but everything seems really happy! Here are two of my plants, two months apart. First picture is June 7th, the second is August 7th. One is from seed, the other is a clone of a plant that was harvested earlier in the summer under light deprivation.

Definitely moth eggs- good thing you found them as that's a caterpillar infestation in the works right there. Time to start spraying BT
