Some say tail between our legs some say who gives a damn. After 20 years this had to end.

Sometimes you just have to pull the plug.

I'm glad no more Americans soldiers will be risking their lives in that country.

They have great cannabis but everything else totally sucks.

Good luck to them. They're going to need it.

It must be a constant worry for your intelligent services though knowing that sooner or later one of the many terrorist groups will get hold of a nuclear weapon and America will be the target of choice over all the western countries.

Nope, too difficult. I mean,, yeah, its a worry.. But North America has the greatest natural advantage of any major (sorry Aussies) first world power. 10,000 miles of ocean to the west and 3000 to the east. Terrorists with nukes would never try for America unless they can procure them here.
No, Europe will always be the landlocked easy target.

We'll always be a target. Afghanistan has nothing to do with that.

Glad we finally ended that failed attempt at nation building.

You could be right.

That's only one of the problems of collectivist thinking, collectivist guilt. Better to judge people as individuals and toss all that collective guilt.

It's why I don't like to say "we" went to X country and did something. I didn't do that, so why would I include myself in that "we" ?
