Not really, nobody is advocating a cultural take over of other countries, countries can only absorb immigrants so quickly. Compassion is also pragmatic, America is a country of immigrants as is Canada and part of the American labor shortage is a lack of immigration under Trump, many service jobs are filled by these folks.
Helping people to rebuild their own countries is a pragmatic approach while taking in as many as feasible. Much of Biden's efforts are at the source of the problem, the social breakdown and corruption in central America that is fueling migration. The stupid however cannot see this, they want solutions that don't work.

France has it's own unique culture and so does every other European country. Many feel threatened by the massive global Anglo culture lead by America, English is the language of technology and we can absorb many immigrants without much threat to our multicultural societies. The UK, America and Canada can absorb more immigrants than most places because of our very strong Anglo massive culture. Other smaller places guard their language, local culture and religions closely, they are only multicultural in a limited sense, so far.
