To the original poster - I bet that smokes waaaaay better than brickweed and there’s been a time or two when I was tickled to get brickweed so don’t listen to the doubters. I pulled an early bud on one of mine and smoked it, it tasted like hay but it was stronger than brickweed so you’re doing great. They tokd me I was way too early too.

wow, just a noob asking advice and i fight starts out. been there, done that. and making fun of me because i dried one immature bud in the oven? geeeze, some of you guys seem desperate to chop someone down just to make you feel better about your own miserable existence. my oven at 170 deg and the door open for 10 minutes - get him! he's stoooopid! Bailif! whack his pee pee!!!!

shit i am 65, still practice martial arts, still surf and ride a mountain bike, never once stepped on a golf course and i get my thrills photographing grizzly bears in the wild by myself. been around the block a few times folks, if all you have is insults take them somewhere else because internet tough guys are the least of my concerns. i only know what i have learned this last 6 months growing my first plants, but trust me i was around for the early acapulco gold and panama red (and we cant forget the occasional "Kansas" weed that sometimes we were so hard up we smoked it anyway). and then came the arrival of the hallowed angel of "sinsemilla" and the pot world was changed forever.

so i learned a lot from my first grow so far and i learned here that the flowering stage is way longer than i expected, so i have to be patient. point taken. btw i have one very nice luscious plant, and two that are not so great - they will be the ones i pinch a bud or two from. i think it tastes just fine and it packs a good punch, and its free.

i travel a lot, like every third week, so being gone for a week and coming home to see how far it had come in just 5 days was very encouraging.

so now that its established that i have 4+ weeks to go still (i am averaging and being confident) what would any of you with experience in deep south gulf moisture/humidity recommend to make sure i get through the homestretch? everything is very healthy right now - and to now i have been spraying spinosad and neem alternately - about 10 days apart, but have stopped since the buds started to really show. today i will top dress the bed with fresh homemade compost, we have a lot of rain coming so that will percolate some good nutrients down deep.

considering a weekly soil drench of neem/spinosad (and an aspirin per gallon?)

also considering spraying the same on one plant, and using that plant to make a bunch of oil and not spraying the wimpier two plants and saving that for smoking.

rght now it is 5 weeks into the flowering stage.

so there - there's some fodder for the good folks out there to give good advice on and also something for the dickheads to start puffing their chests out over.

You realize this type of defensive post just paints a target on your back. If you really were all that accomplished why would you even care.

1-4 weeks in flower is usually great, week 5 and on is when things usually get interesting. I wish you well with your grow. I grow in the Mojave Desert so humidity isn't really a thing for us. Good luck.

Just remember that concentrates are just that, anything on your flower/trim that is sprayed on your plants will be concentrated with the oil you make as well.

Sex is often helpful for that. There seem to be a lot of women that don't like their men growing. You're the second guy I've seen recently with that issue.

based on this i am pretty close to week 6

Week Six
Three things happen as week six of the cannabis flowering stages rolls around:

  • Buds will continue to grow and progress further toward ripening
  • Pistil hairs will start to switch from white to a light brown or amber color
  • Trichomes will start to become opaque on their way to milky white
just ordered a usb microscope camera so close up trichrome photos will be coming later

If you have a good phone u can buy one of them inexpensive.
I prefer all cloudy trichomes with little to none clears and a 5-10% amber.
I 20210911_134452.jpg20210911_134535.jpgclip on camera microscopes they work better frfr especially if u have a phone stand. I recently broke my USB microscope and had one laying around (without the stand)
