legitimacy of strains in breeder crosses

My point is in the case of Slymer......that shit is a Pheno from Chernobyl...TGA Subcool.

People are claiming to own Slymer......they did NOT make that cross or any other cross......they literally are selling chernobyl under a different name...that is stealing.
None of it is stealing because nobody invented cannabis...that is one of my points. Whether it is this strain or the strain before it or the strain before that, SOMEONE isolated it, maybe made money, and on it goes.

OgKush no stress here or attempts to sxxx on anybody. I love the biz and the people in it. The business practices leave a lot to be desired and I blame the govt for much of that.

You guys can think what you want about Berner and Jigga, and I'm no fanboy of theirs, but you have to admit that no other strain has impacted the current strains on the market as much as GSC. For sure a lot of GSC's success was hype, but it was also an excellent strain when it came out. It was low yielding from the start, so that's nothing new. It was called Cookies because of the Thin Mint Girl Scout Cookies flavor, and the minty/doughy-ness of the terps reminded the Cookie crew of that.

Respect to him for naming them and being on the ground floor, but Migos doesn't get enough credit for spreading GSC. They were shouting "COOKIES!" every 3 seconds. Most people don't even know who Berner is.

Cookies were cut only back then, and outside west coast dispensaries it was pretty unknown. Now it’s up there with OG as far as name recognition goes.
Cookies was cut in 2012. By 2015 I had grown multiple cuts of it and moved on to other strains already. Both Leafly and High Times put it on their Top 10 lists for 2014. I think you were just late to the party:

The cut my buddy gifted me in 2013, but wasn't sure which cut it was exactly. Most likely it was either the thin mint or forum cut, which are also likely the same cut. It just never yielded very well. I moved on from that strain to GG4, which I kept for a few years.
