i'm just getting the conversation started again..history will deal with the 50 Republican Senators..as far as I can see there is a big push for Child Tax Credit etc. etc. and I'm all for it..my point is Senior populace is not getting a damn thing when there was up until last week a whole host of items..teeth, glasses, affordable medicine.. I'm with Sanders this shit needs to go into writing so we know exactly what we're talking about.
and the Bills need to be in tandem; one does not go without the other and this is due to Manchin and Synema, NOT a Republican..it's our own fuvkcing team.
We want the Biden Agenda and that includes services for Seniors, in case anyone has forgotten..don't threaten Progs with $0 because we have a way of obliging you.

It really looks more like trolling the Democrats for a couple bills that are not even passed yet.
And if it wasn't for the 50 Republicans not doing anything to try to help our nation out of the economic mess that they left the Democrats while stopping everything the last 50 years or so without fail, this would not even be a issue.
I have full confidence in Sanders and Jayapal- you haven't heard any drama except for that the Media is stirring..they've tied themselves up in knots and haven't reported anything new in a week..maybe they should start reporting other news like in the old days..like what's going on in the world or who grew the most whomp ass pumpkin or the Aurora Borealis sightings..

What seems close to being passed is a $2.75 T infrastructure plan that the country will be benefit greatly from. It is going to help get this country out of the economic recession caused by the epidemic while restoring roads, bridges, and increase funding for initiatives to address climate change.
I haven't heard anybody in Democratic Party leadership say they were abandoning the policies that were struck due to Republican obstruction. But time was up. A deal had to get done or the whole thing would crash. Would you prefer that?

It's time to get this thing passed and start using the money to build back better.

The Democrats should pass what they can now or they will lose the House next year. Pass something now, that most Americans will feel the benefit from, and they could have a larger majority next year. If the Democrats get a larger majority in the Senate, bring more progressive legislation in 2023.
If no deal is reached, the Democrats lose Congress in 2022.
a deal will be reached; there are more than two who get to call it, though.

Nobody who matters is saying the issues that Manchin and that Arizona Senator bargained out of the spending bills are dead, so, I guess you are right. Time is not up. This spending bill does plenty of good and we can get the programs they fund up and running while working toward getting the other measures written into law.
I still don't understand why you want to kill the whole thing. Just to make a point? I'd rather do what can be done and work on winning more seats in the Senate next year. That's the only way the stuff you and I want will get passed.
I'm for progress. It's ironic that so called Progressives are not.

I really don't think that if the Democrats win or lose in 2022 has anything to do with these bills. Anyone that doesn't understand that being in a dictatorship if the Republicans are able to cheat their way into office with voter suppression techniques and spamming lies regardless of what does or doesn't get done is fooling themselves IMO.
There is no question that the Democrats and Biden are the only ones trying to do the work that we need done, and the Republicans are doing absolutely nothing for anyone but the mega wealthy.
the services that truly relate to the American Family, that you can see and take to the bank the day after it's signed are that of which the Progressives have held tight on..it does me no good to go to the eye doctor for an exam if i can't have the corrective appliance..dental exam and again no corrective; hearing exam but no corrective..Generic RXs that have 10% active ingredient- Brands that are hundreds and thousands of dollars even though they've been around so long that their research has been paid over and over again- why aren't they affordable? they are everywhere else in the world. That's what the Progs are about.
