He was a psych patient released that day. There is no doubt in my mind he could of seriously injured Rittenhouse. There is no doubt he would of taken his gun. It's a terrible idea and what is the reason why? Because it's an awesome recipe for someone dying, right? Once that decision is made, for an illegal straw purchase of a deadly weapon so that a minor can illegally take that deadly weapon to the streets, that moment when they hit the street is when a disregard for human life is established. You don't need to have someone die in order to establish a disregard for human life, so you were making a mistake in your thought process when you were trying to apply it to specific events in hindsight. Because, regardless of whether you or I think that eventual killing is justified, we've established that kyle has caused the death of another person as the result of a disregard for human life....and *that* is the exact definition of reckless homicide in the first degree and carries a max sentence of 60 years with an additional 5 years enhancement for committing the crime with a deadly weapon.

You can look up the prison term and history on Google and as far as the psych meds it came up in the trial. Of course Rittenhouse was aware of neither but it does explain the erratic aggressive behavior that night.
