Blue Cheese Big Buddha

Thanks I appreciate the feedback. I'm not sure I can answer this honestly because it depends on what you believe the Exodus cheese Plant is. I grew up in Houghton Regis, next door to Luton, so I came from the area the Exodus Cheese Originated. Just outside HR is a former pig Farm close to Charlton Village, virtually on top of the M1 Bridge, its still there today but transformed. Well that Farm is where the Exodus Group raves were held locally, so was familiar with the name 'Exodus'. Someone I grew up with who I used to restore mopeds with, well he worked there preparing the swill made from waste food collected from local restaurants, including the one I worked at. - Anyway, I always sourced my smoke locally from friends who were the earliest dealers in the area to my knowledge. Back then in the 80's everyone was smoking a solid, and it was shaped like soap bars, green was harder to get. My mates were the main people to source it from. Over time they switched to selling green. One of my mates had been given a plant he called 'Cheese' and nobody wanted anything else so that's what ended up being my main smoke, and everyone else's. These days many strains have arrived. He's kept it alive for years but it is in storage atm, under the radar. Because I always took breaks, which clears the THC receptors for a full strength smoke, I'd be the one who's expression they would want to see when I went back to see the boys, as I'd moved away. On inhalation the terpene is so strong that you think that is what is getting you high because it is also quick to take effect. It gave me amnesia, and one person returned it because it was too strong (inexperienced & uneducated). So when I heard of the GHS Exodus cheese and heard the story I thought, I bet he's seeded my mates plant. So out of curiosity and laziness, and not wanting to pester my mate for a cutting I grew the GHS plant and did a side by side at a BBQ. I was given four of these cuttings the day I was moving in where I live today but the house alarm was going off and the police turned up and they were in the front garden in plain sight. The copper had no choice but to make me destroy them, while he watched, but at least he did not make me unemployable for the next 5 years with a caution. So anyway, I did a side by side and can say they are very different terpene wise, and my mates is more stretchy, but they are equally top shelf. So because I don't know for sure I've nick named my mates plant 'The Houghton Stink Bomb' instead because its a plant that must be double, if not triple bagged.
I've only had crosses and was wondering. There is clones of " uk cheese " on strainly. Not sure if its the real deal or not. Im growing confidential cheese which is a cross of la confidential and uk cheese. I like it.

Thanks, this was grown from a Blue Cheese by Big Buddha seed, I'm really pleased with it, bowl trained its turning out to be one giant bud ball, very short, and its not even ready but it still has an nice effect, and the smell is lovely. I've rooted a clone from it which was easy in a cloner.

I've been bowl training, selective defoliating, and topping this Blue Cheese by Big Buddha to create a low and relatively flat canopy, its 7.5 inches tall and about 2 ft wide. Seven weeks from seed (surfaced 22/7/21). Hardly any stretch so won't be needing the scrog. I'm using a known short strain plus the led is so good it has little need to stretch. Foliar sprayed with seaweed and Chitosan Olligoshacheride plus adding Miracle grow bio stimulant to soil. Added a handful of Epsom Salts. Soluble Calmag with each watering. The plant seems very healthy. Temperatures averaging about to 24 to 28c and light 24/7 at 14 inches 50%. Hard tap water, PH I have no need to think about.View attachment 4984965View attachment 4984966
That is some very dense growth. Nice work!

Start of week 8 flower. Removed some of the less developed buds and a few top buds to smoke. No problems at all, some amber trichomes already.

Top layer has been stripped off. I'd probably thin it out and lollipop more aggressively next time as there would be less popcorn sized buds as I don't see these fattening up at this stage, maybe if I'd stripped the top layer at 8 weeks.

Still growing the same Big Buddha Blue Cheese plant from cuttings but now I heavily trim lower Bud sites. Third week into flower. Loves my soil. Started using liquid seaweed. Feed leaves back into soil to keep bacteria alive. Added iron sulphate to reduce pH in case it climbs, Im only using tap water, and to add some iron. Also added slow release miracle gro. I shocked the cutting with nutrient burn in it's small pot but it recovered in this soil.

Have you grown anything else from big Buddha? I’ve always been interested in the blue cheese strain you’re growing
