15 lbs of pelletized dry ice, giving them a CO2 deluge today. 15 gallon pot in the enclosure with some dry ice and hot water to flood the area. I have the enclosure sealed off as much as I can so the plants have a long contact time. 15 lbs cost me $30 so a periodic treatment in the future...

Was able to get about 4 hrs of CO2 sublimation out of 15 lbs of dry ice. wont really be able to tell if it had any positive effect, but for $30, worth the try...

It would be cool to have a gauge to get readings on the CO2 levels to see how much you are raising it. I wonder what an accurate one runs? I would have had to have put on some heavy metal and turned up the speakers but hey, I'm old school and dry ice to me means bands like KISS and Judas Priest. Sounds like a cool experiment and for the price you can't beat it. Did it effect the temps in the enclosure at all? How about humidity? I'd be worried about VPN but for just 4 hours I guess it's not a big deal. I've never tried to push CO2 since I don't really have the lights or space to take advantage of it. My max ppfd is around 1000-1100 roughly unless I'm burning plants with heat so it's just never been too big of a temptation for me. If I had a brighter light and was trying to get max yield I'd be all about it for sure. I'm running my COB's at 75% as it is and still pushing the girls when running autos.

I’m looking to borrow a gauge to get some readings soon...it did seem to lower temp a couple degrees, but the thermometer was right next to the ice covered pot...it was fun, so ill do it again next week prolly...

the dry ice is pelletized so once I have more trim, a dry ice hash run will be in the cards. Should be fun too...

Plant 4. On the extreme closeup I can see some artifacts from vibration. My new 105mm macro has vibration reduction, so I'll mess around with that to see what effect it has on image quality. I'll also mess around with the mirror up option - that raises the mirror in the camera and projects the image straight onto the sensor to remove any possible vibration from the shutter activation. Wow, just wow. I still can't get over the image quality with that setup. I'm sure it's a lot of work but the results are so cool.

It takes about an hour per plant, most of which is processing time. I was able to push thru a set with 150 individual photos without crashing my laptop; I’ll keep pushing that envelope until I find the point (# of photographs) \at which the laptop pukes all over the place.

im using a carbon fiber tripod which is really stable, and a remote control to activate the shutter. I have a bigger tripod that will be marginally more stable, so I hope to get even more detail in the future.

I’ve been up since around 0400 shooting these (old man’s curse), time to do something else...never a shortage of stuff to do around here...

here they are taken with my IPad, I was lazy on the full portraits...

I’ll iron the wrinkles outta the backdrop cloth eventually too...

Sounds like the next present to yourself should be a laptop with some heavy duty processing power so you don't have to wait so long if that's possible. I use a tablet that's 6 years old so I'm not one to talk. My laptop took a crap on me and took all my favorite pictures to the grave with it. Now I store everything on a separate thumb drive but it was a painful lesson. Is the screw for camera bases that hold them to the tripods a universal size? I have a really nice tripod but lost the damn screw and was hoping to just grab something from Lowes if it's a set size.

I have apple stuff all over my house; the latest laptop might be in my future though...

I’ve been pruning dead and damaged leaves and selectively removing fan leaves and the buds are clean and packing on the trichromes. I’ve pruned pants down to close to harvest cleanliness while still on the trunk in the last couple days before harvest. Makes the final effort easier and allows the buds to get as much light as possible in the home stretch...

also replaced the 3500k bulbs in the two foot T5 fixtures aiming downward at 45 degrees from the sides of the enclosure with 10,000k bulbs - these T5 lights are running a pair of 10,000k bulbs each, and are on for 15 min/hr for the 6 hrs centered on the middle of the lights on period. We are in the home stretch...

...trichromes were cloudy, some amber this morning when I checked will shoot some macros and will get a better view tomorrow...

They're really looking great, I have a hard time judging how thick they are without some kind of reference point like a lighter or your hand in the pic but they are obviously really thick, especially for autos. Any guesses on yield? As far as the computer goes your ten steps ahead of me. We have satellite internet that's slow as hell since we're out in the boonies and I use my phone most times because the tablet is so old. I know with Windows you can usually just add more RAM to increase processing power or new chips but not sure in the slightest how Apple works. I'm pretty clueless tech wise. I just love those killer high def pictures you post!
I managed to find something to raise two more of my plants up 6" since my test plant was doing really well that I had raised up. They're all about 6-8" closer to the lights than normal and I have the lights maxed out which is 100 watts higher than I usually run for auto strains so I'm hoping for some good yields out of these girls all other factors considered. Yesterday was day 28 of flower for me and they're starting to put on trichomes. Probably another 4 or 5 weeks or so to go but I haven't grown this strain before so I'll see how it goes.

I messed with the white balance on this series so it has a blue tint to it. not the natural color but pretty cool...

Man that side lighting is the ticket! The thickness of the buds down low is just nuts. If I could get light down to my lowers like that the girls I have now would be monsters. I trimmed a bunch of popcorn buds last week because they aren't getting prime light and I'm going to have enough of a trimming nightmare as it is for one person. The colas are fattening up ever since I've gotten rid of all the fluffy crap so I'm glad I did it. Another 3 weeks or so and they should be pretty hefty. Trichome coverage on one is really outshining the others by leaps and bounds so it gets a lot of love. Harvesting tomorrow is terrific, I bet you're super excited. I can't wait to see what the final numbers were on yield with how dense they are all the way down. Great job with the girls this round and I'm looking forward to the next grow if you do a diary.
