Extreme, shwazzery, other hyperbole... not really botanical or horticultural terms. Ub out there making his own boogeyman to artificially create a debate that's not a debate.

I dont either.not all Stress is made the same, if you defol to the point of dmg you have done it wrong

Lol my old boss thought the same thing... a yr after being fired there revenue is a 1/3 of what it was when I was growing there

Now they need me to bail them out... I get all my.old stock back for free. Go team algea

are you familiar with the uncle ben topping method? it's a thread here. he tops at the 2nd true node when the plant gets to a decent height to get 4 main colas.
so you're saying you can achieve the same by removing fan leaves and not actually topping?
He also said the goal should be to keep leaves green till harvest... I still i havent pulled that off.
His topping technique works like a charm though

Removing side shoots is a common practice with taller varieties of tomato.

Continued care involves pinching off the suckers that pop up when growing cherry tomatoes. Look at where the branches meet the stalk and form a “V.” Removing the small suckers at these junctions and at the bottom of the main stalk will let your plant to use more of its energy to make fruit.
Plucking suckers is pretty normal practice. Removing 90% of leaves, not so much
