overwatered during germination?

soil/coco mix in 3x3x3" cubes, watered til it dripped in the tray after first putting seed in soil to germinate/sprout, will they be ok? is it ok to use 6.5 ph water once more since the first overwatering was 8.0ph?

You know some people just drop their seeds in a cup of water to germinate, why over complicate simple things?

Why did you water with 8.0ph?
I do believe that you are overcomplicating it, keep it simple, water when almost dry, get to feel the weight of your cups.

Soil and coco are two completely different mediums with different behaviors and requirements

You don't want them sopping wet, think moist like a wrung out sponge-they need oxygen. Keep them warm (80 deg), under a mild light, and uncovered and they should be fine.

I start seeds straight in soil and the pH of my tap water is around 8. Seeds sprout and grow just fine.
