trichomes and curing

just wondering if all strains trichs turn amber or if there are any that dont. also, its almost time for me to harvest, but "harvest season" at stores is done with. I dont have any mason jars, is there anything else i can use to cure? I was thinking maybe like a ziplock container or something, but i'm not sure if it would have the same effect.

i dont have a microscope yet, but i've ordered one. Until i get that, i've just been using my digital camera, 8.1 MP, pics taken on macro mode then zoomed in on the 3.0 in. lcd. i can get close enough to see some individual trichs but not close enough to tell if they're cloudy or clear. I can see some red but not many. anyone think i will see more within the next week?

wish i could post pics, but as high as i am i cant find my usb cable

i knew i was getting close, cuz a lot of my leafs are dying off. my scrawniest plant doesnt have many left actually, but still no amber trichs.
the strain is power plant. i have 4 seeds left and i'm excited to start over after learning from previous mistakes

going into 9 weeks, had a bit of an issue with thrips and over fert. just as i started flowering. i flushed with clean water for the nutes, and put like 4 ladybugs in my closet for the thrips. both issues taken care of, but they did their damage.

wow so your strain needs 13 weeks to flower? mine was only supposed to be 8 weeks according to the site i ordered from. but i did check my strain on other sites and they have said around 9 weeks.

Hey man you ever eat spagetti. I use those spagetti sauce jars. They work fine in a pinch..

Ahh your growing in dirt. I was wondering why your grow took so long.
Hydro is much faster and really easy to set up.
Just a 3 to 5 gallon bucket with lids, 4 inch netpot, and an airpump and airstone.:bigjoint:

go ahead and ramble, its ok lol. My 2nd grow was like that, I started with 3, but only 1 was female.. the female i ended up with naturally topped itself about 1-2 inches above the soil, so it was actually like having 2 plants. but from now on i'm ordering feminized seeds only, no more bagseed
