Switched to Jack’s 123 - yield is tragic

I am so bummed out. I switched to JR Peter’s Jack’s 123 and recently harvested my first run with it. I ran clones of Ethos Cookie Rbx that I have run before. With my method of growing I end up 2-3 oz per plant. I ran Jack’s at the recommended PPM’s and also added silica, and molasses for carbs. Also microbes. The plants looked just fine, and the buds even were the same size.
My yield is less than 1oz per plant. I‘m sickened.
I switched from Advanced Nutrients and I’m extremely disappointed. WTF could account for this huge dip in yield?

You can always reverse course to the old nutes. Did you add silica with your prior nutes?

I never found sugar to make any difference, but molasses has trace elements and the carbs feeds microbes which make organic acids (if I'm remembering correctly). I bet the pH goes up and down as the microbes eat up the carbs? Silica's pretty alkaline (some brands), you're adding microbes and feeding them for natural acids. Hmm, what kind of pH values do you end up with? pH in and out. Do they vary, are they constant? These are the questions I'd be asking myself.

PH is consistently fine and the plants look fine. I didn’t use MOST and that could be the issue but seems like a huge disparity in yield.

Tell us a little more about your grow. I'm using Jack's 321 ratio now, but much lower EC than they recommend and the yield should be at least equal to my last grow with Maxibloom.

Thanks for the replies folks. I had so much AN stuff leftover I decided to switch back now and try to identify what was missing on the last run. And yes I do grow in coco.
I had been weighing out my ingredients, checking PH, everything seemed fine which is why the poor yield was such a shock. I definitely intend to switch to the Jacks once I dial it in.

I see no mention of EC levels or how often you feed.

I too grow in coco using only Jack's 321 (no supplements). I measure by volume, not weight. I only check PH when feeding below 0.8EC. I grow in 1 gallon pots fed 1-3 times/day depending on the plants age. I still average 3-6 oz per plant in a cold environment growing autos from seed. Summer and fall harvests are usually a bit more weight as I'm closer to ideal conditions.

There are lot of factors that can determine final weight, I feel it's something other than nute brand of choice in this scenario.

Yah, I wouldn't blame the ferts hose are solid ferts and when I ran it I ran no higher than 1.4 ec and used a humic additive like floralicious plus along with it. I was running top drip DTW and never had problems. I also measured by volume.

Did you train the plants differently? Have you also run the strain as clones with Advanced Nutrients or are you comparing it to the first run from seed?
It's also possible your plants were infected by some of your other clones, I noticed you run mac1 which is a cut that has passed through many growers hands. Pics would be helpful.

Having run the entire AN lineup years ago, I really dig the simplicity of Jacks. However, for full on flowering past week 3 of flowering, the p/k values are a tad low for me. For example I like the P value to be at least 70ppm+(stock 49) and K to be 240ppm+ (stock 205). Not a gamechanger, since the plant is building up stores of PK in the roots, but I feel like I'm losing yield, all else being equal. So I add a liI PK booster, Crystal Burst 2ml/gal, after week 3, just to get the values where I like em.

Btw, I like coco at ph 5.8 or peat at 6.4. I handfeed a customized Jacks mix everyday, EC is about 1.8 - 1.9 (1250-1350ppm at .7 conversion). In my case, it's essential to flush every week with a light calmag solution to avoid salt build up.

Also, in the past I've run a higher CalMag solution (10ml/gal) every 2 or 3 feedings, cuz I feel it helps the plants metabolize the high nutes better, which helps to lock in weight after the size is there.DSC05066.JPGDSC05105.JPGDSC05113.JPGhelps lock i
